!!NEWS!!NEWS!!NEWS!!

Both sides of GameWorks Extreme machine are back to where they once were. I played 5 rounds of doubles and the machine treated me fantastically. I'd give it an 8.5-9/10 overall. I'd say this is now, by far, the MOST PLAYABLE Extreme machine in the area. Not perfect, but the damn closest we've had in a long time.

No, I'm saying both 1p and 2p side of the Extreme machine are good.

I played Sunday. The P2 side was better, but still pretty flaky =-(
Still, it's playable now whereas it wasn't before.

Yeah, it's not as awesome as it was when I posted that (I guess I caught it right after it was fixed or something), but at least you can play doubles within reasonable expectations now.

is SuperNOVA still good? Is SuperNOVA even SuperNOVA 2 yet... My god, they are losing my money for that simple reason (not simple, but I mean come on, your a generation behind, no one wants to play on that). They seem to only pay attention to SuperNOVA because its newer, which is kind of stupid because I would like to play on a nice EXTREME, and even a ITG.

I suggest skipping every other mix with music games.... simply because upgrades cost money and you'd like to stay far in the green as long as possible before investing in another mix

GameWorks has a pretty long tradition of not upgrading games in a timely manner.

They still have Initial D Ver3 and Wanga Midnight Maximum Tune 2. Both games have newer versions out, and shit, Maximum Tune 3 will have been out for a year this month.

I have also contacted the manager many times before a little after SuperNOVA 2 came out, and he always said he was going to look into it. After that he was not sure what was going on with the machine apparently, as he has no control over upgrades for machines, which I guess does make sense because SEGA's arcade revision does apparently, and I had their number before too.

More news: ITG was dis-assembled over by the tech room tonight. Possible upgrade maybe?

Shit, I'd want a DOWN grade. I'd love some older mix like 5th or 4th+. That'd kick ass.

hell yes, 4th+ would be great, and 5th would be great too. I should buy them a upgrade hand it to the manager and be like "here I just did you a favor".

Oh, I do have a 3rd mix plus upgrade kit. However I do not know if it was working when i bought it.

Also that board always gave them trouble, so i would not surprised if it came back as either...
1.in the groove (as in they fixed it, because the pads have internal problems)
2.in the groove 2
3.DDR USA (the mix that was running on the machine before, in which case I would donate my 3rd mix plus upgrade, and see if it works, however I dont think they would let touch that machine, let alone donate hardware).
4.DDR EXTREME

Honestly, I'd be fine with DDR USA.

ITG is dumb to have anymore. I'm sick of ITG2, and it probably wouldn't do well in GameWorks because they'd flip shit at USB sticks or hacking or anything. Extreme would be really dumb to have 2 of.

3rd+ wouldn't be my first choice, but I would honestly be fine with ANY mix 5th or older.

well at the price I got for the upgrade, I sure did not mind paying for the game. Also i dont think DDR USA has as many songs as 3rd mix plus, but please point out if I am wrong. It also has the korean songs that were not on any of the other games.

But if they do bring back the old machine, I would not surprised again since the ITG upgrade has some problems running. If they still have the old DDR USA board I would not surprised either.
