Because me and my friend always see gameworks managers (the people in the white shirts) always by us, and they never stopped us. They just never seemed bothered by it. Hell even the head tech saw me taping and asked if everything was working alright. Its just by odds the people that are bothered by it, and if one points it out, everyone else has to point it out too.

If you are looking for a way to fix the pads problems I would ask or tell the arcade techs if you or they can open the pads and put some cardboard in between the censors. Apparently this is a pretty quick, easy fix to the problems, and a few arcades have done it already. There is a youtube video of it somewhere showing off one side with cardboard, and the other without. The guy full comboed the song on the side with cardboard, while the other side was just a ton of misses.
I'm pretty sure the Betson guys did not do that, but its something easy any other arcade can do.

I guess you would have to figure it out yourself, or go ask on Zenius-I-Vanisher in their DDR X Forum, because thats how I learned about it. You can go back a little and try to find the video or the old post yourself if you want.
Edit: I found the video... YouTube - Dance Dance Revolution X - Day 1 of Pad Repair

Since nothing's keeping that cardboard there, you'll need to be a bit more creative (consider investing in glue). Additionally, you really need to make that cardboard really thin since the sensors are WAY too sensitive.
Finally, make sure whatever changes you make are final because taking the pads apart is a real bi+ch, and if you accidentally strip a screw (which will happen with this crappy construction), you're stuck since EVERY screw needs to come off of the pad to remove the big metal plate.

Anyways might was well throw out there that in the groove is now gone. The DDR EXTREME machine either got a new monitor or the monitor was switched with the ITG one before they threw it out. And currently DDR SuperNOVA is broken. I was there when they were trying to fix it. At first the power supply burned out so they replaced it. However the game crashes when it tries to boot the how to play screen now. It might be the HDD but I cant say for sure, but dont be expecting it to be working for a few weeks. June might know more then me since I believe he works there. Overall though the pads are still very good (on ALL DDR machines), and the DDR X machine plays like any other DDR game sensor/pad-wise.
And HotD4 Special also got its bulb replaced for the projector meaning both sides work and the game spins again.
They were also nice enough to put bar stools and tables by the DDR machines to put you stuff on.

When I was there they were taking the PCB apart and hooking up a new power supply. I got there pretty early and I left at like 4:30 when I went. When I talked to the guy fixing it he said they were planning on still fixing it later that day.
I might swing by tomorrow just because I am going to be pretty bored because I dont like football very much lol.
