They went crazy last week. I stayed until about 9:05 then I was told to leave. They also kept repeating the warning on the intercom. They are really strict at ours.

The village that GW is in is really strict about their ordinance. They used to have plain clothes rent-a-cops making sure everyone is over 21.

3 reasons Chicago Gameworks sucks:
1 - Other GW's have a relatively UPDATED dancing game that isn't DDR?

2 - Others have a working Taiko No Tatsujin 10?

3 - The one that pisses me off the most about GW Schaumburg / Chicago: Why does Columbus, OH get this?

What would make this worse is that the only games that makes Gameworks Chicago better is

-HotD 4 SP
-Sangokushi Taisen (which is still an outdated version)

Other than that, Columbus has for the greater part the same games. So if Chicago is the "flagship" Gameworks, why does it suck so much? I'll take a Drummania V4 over one of the three HotD 4 machines any day.

I wasn't planning on going, but two people really pulled my leg to go to Ohayocon, and one of my friends insisted I check out the GW there too with V4 (the guy pictured on DM above, damn good player).

Got some videoes of V4 and Taiko 10 on me Facebook, tee hee.

Ranatalus: Ryujin said you might make an appearance at Ohayocon, but I guess not? S'ok, I definitely plan on coming back there hopefully in another month or so. Need to play me some more V4.

i was at ohayocon but i did not really do much, mostly because it was terrible hahaha

just wanted to inform you guys if you have not been to Gameworks lately.

The DDR SuperNOVA machine got moved to "the dead area" where game are put if they are not working. If you dont know what I am talking about, to the right of the Indy 500 machine is what I am talking about.

The hard drive got completely corrupt, so it was sent back for repair. No word when it will be back up and running, but one would guess a couple weeks or shorter.

Also the in the groove machine is shitty, and seems to have always been shitty. The P1 is not playable because the up arrow is triggered on every other arrow you step on. The P2 side has sticking arrows.

The DDR EXTREME machine upstairs still works great, but the monitor is obviously bad. The P1 pad is fantastic, I got a couple AAA's on that side today. The P2 side has some problems, most notably the down arrow.

The prices also DID change. You still get to keep all credits you have, and now $1=4 credits.

The House of the Dead 4 Special has to be run in service mode because one of the projectors is broken. But you can still play it. Also I think the new rule for the machine is one person gets charged one credit. Last few times I went they swiped twice for just me, but this may be because it is running in service mode.

So basically, you're repeating everything we've already said in the past few posts, plus HotD4 SP (which is hardly a game and aside from the novelty aspect, is short, easy, and sucks which is why no one cares), ITG whose pads have almost always sucked, and DDR Extreme whose screen has been like that since the beginning of time.

GW Chicago needs an update when they get, like, a new WORTHWHILE game.

Dammit, they need to get Idolm@ster. I'd blow all my damn credits on that game. Sango 1.1 is getting old.

i hope gameworks enjoys paying betson like, 1000 for them to plug in a PS2 controller and hit the x button since that is what they are going to do to repair the hard drive
