Well, we will find out on Thursday. If they do get an ITG2 machine I will start playing regularily again given that the environment does cater towards precision gameplay.

If they do have a DDR Supernova by some miracle I'll ask if they will get the update or not (The timing is fubared on approx 30 songs and the patch updates it to the version used for the Japanese release which doesn't have timing issues) which will help determine the overall mindstate of those running it.

I got some very bad news for the Muncie people hoping for the return of DDR. I talked with the Play Station people and they have a Pump It Up machine. NOT In The Groove, NOT DDR, Pump It Up. Sorry!

you have no idea how lucky you are

were there a good, working PIU machine in my area, i would exclusively play that and never touch DDR or ITG again.

PIU has more interesting steps, better variety and quality in music (ITG sounds like fruity loops and DDR sounds like all eurobeat trash)

not to mention the bg videos annhilate all other MUSIC games, not just dance games, and the difficulty is through the roof, hell yes.

I don't feel like having to learn a new game cause a flash in the pan 'family fun center' choose to ignore the fact that there are established DDR and ITG players in the area and would make much more money on that. Also, I'm getting way too old for switching franchises as I don't know any other players over 21 in the area. Instead, they have opted to bank on a game that is almost completely unknown in this area and to alienate the established community as a result.

Oh, don't do the 3rd mix to ITG2 upgrade, just buy a dedicab cause those platforms will hold up over time given proper preventive maintence is done on a regular basis! As for contacting this place, I have connections.

Dude, I don't think just 2 people are going to convince them. You know you are gonna have to get a pretty decent sized group to convince them on this one. I know if you did a petition for them to get a ITG2 machine you should be able to get a decent amount of signatures. I recommend waiting until after opening day in the very slim offchance that they acted retarded and misread the marquee of the arcade machine. (ITG2's Markee does say Pump It Up on it, albeit in very small text, due to Andamiro making the dedicabs for Roxor.)

If you want, we can probably chat about setting up a group of people to go in on opening day to chat with them about this.

Another update on this new Family Fun Center opening in our neck of the woods. It will only be open 4 days a week. Thursday through Sunday which has to be another shot in the foot for these people. Worse yet are the hours being 4 to 9 PM on Thursdays, 4 to 10 PM on Fridays, and the weekends it will be open for the majority of the day. However, from what I am seeing I heavily doubt if this place will be open for long unless it can get alot of private parties coming in which i don't see unless they can establish themselves VERY quickly which is a hard enough task in itself and it's location makes it even harder. Sorry Muncie DDR/ITG players, but I think it may be safe to declare arcade gameplay aside from Anderson dead once and for all.

What is the point in being open only 4 days a week?

Some business like this do such a thing cause of how much it costs to have these facilities open. If they are able to get enough business they will most likely expand their hours and whatnot.

Oh, I got to take a little bit of a sneak peak into the place and I have visual confirmation that it is a Pump It Up: PREX 3 machine. If you wanna petition the place to get a DDR/ITG2 machine feel free to!
