Attention: Anyone who considers him/herself to be a member of the Bemani community at FFC who can make it Wednesday night, please be there as I have things to discuss with all of you regarding the FFC and upgrades/new machines. I also have some personal thoughts on what might/can happen.

Location: The FFC, of course.
Time: Anytime between 3:30 and 8:00 PM.
How to Find Me: I'll be wearing black dress shirt, tie, and glasses. I also carry ugly drumsticks which are frequently dropped.

Hope to see you there. :P

I'm 100% in favor for this Bemani Club type thing. It could be a really good way to get to know people, help people to get better at games, get people more motivated to play, etc.

T_T I work until 9:30, so I won't make it up there until about 10 pm. I was planning on going up there with my friend again, so if you see two "home dogs" wearing Baker's uniforms again, I'm the short one.

In case you don't see me, I'm in favor of:

-SuperNOVA (duh) with a new cabinet for memory card slots (itching to play my AA edit on a metal pad)
-Pop'n Mix, it's a game I haven't played yet, but it looks like fun. And the buttons are bigger than beatmania, which is nice, since I tend to overshoot sometimes...
-FIX THE DAMN 2P EXTREME PAD!!!
-On that note, all the pads could use a little tuning up.

We should make club shirts.

a new supernova dedicab will not happen, period. they won't be spending 14,000 when they could just wait until spring or so and buy an upgrade for max2 or extreme for like 4,000

DDR EXTREME pads probably won't be cleaned until I get trained to work the gameroom. Also, PM me or Brazo about the Bemani club and we'll fill you in on details.

Chances are if I go tomorrow, I won't make it until 7 PM. I'll be wearing my black demon dog hat, and hopefully if I have the laundary done, my Teenage Robot shirt, otherwise it will be my blue Homsar shirt.

I know it won't happen, but that doesn't stop me from WANTING it to happen now, does it?

And zck, I PM'd you for info.

Also, is One Token Wednesday EVER coming back? I really miss that. The prices are still decent with the new deal, but come on. Do this "2P plays free thing" on a regular basis and bring back 1TW.

It's really a somewhat unreasonable request of a few levels. Not only does it mean that the FFC makes less money on what I believe to be one of it's strongest selling sections, but it also means that it becomes that much harder for those machines to pay themselves off. The quicker they pay themselves off and make profit, the quicker upgrades/replacments can be purchased, yes?

Don't think of it as having just having to pay a higher price, think of it as helping keep the FFC around and even as a roundabout way of paying for upgrades.

~Jinx

EDIT: Shelltoon, are you really Bemani Man in disguise?

In a freak turn of events, I managed to talk to both Marge and Tony earlier and they both were extremely receptive to our ideas for maintenance and for the gift parts. Tony wants the phone number of the guy who wants to buy that machine, Brazo, so get that back to me ASAP in a PM (I forgot that the base AIM doesn't save convos).

Great news: SN will almost definitely be coming within the next 4-6 months. Pop'n is looking better and better (talked to Tony about it). He also agreed that it would definitely be looking into if we could front money for upgrades and machines and get the money back on it after they had paid for themselves.

To all who showed up tonight, incidentally or for the meeting, thank you very much. I think we got a lot done; all we need is a name and we're pretty much set for success. Also, what are convenient times during the weekdays that we can get together to clean the machines?

Alright. SOMEONE sent a lovely lady to ask me about my user name. Now which one of you was it, lol? I wasn't doing too hot tonight. I failed Max 300 for the first time in a long while. Freaking Cartoon Heroes almost owned me...on STANDARD!!! Stupid long work shifts...my greased up shoes didn't help either, I was sliding all over the freaking place.

In any case, I don't care about the new SN cabinet anymore, since the link feature was dropped. Now my hopes of playing my edit games rest in hoping that Extreme's slots read US memory cards (and hopefully will take Extreme 2/SuperNOVA edits). It doesn't matter what console game they are on as long as the song itself is on the arcade, right? I hope that's the case, because I don't own the original Extreme.

I'm happy and sad at the same time. Happy that we are getting it, sad that I have to wait 4-6 months for it T_T. Either way though, glad we're getting it. Any clues on what they'll take out? The likely candidate seems to be Max2, but unless 5th mix has something super to offer, I'd opt that out instead.

And uh, for scheduling purposes, the best days for me are Tuesday and Thursday. I have school until 2pm, so I'd be able to eat lunch and make it down there by 3. On Thursdays though, I could only stay until 5pm. Any other days are random and they usually result in me being there at 10pm.

Andrew (Brazoliange) told me about this club and it sounds like a really great idea. It would be pretty sweet to learn how to clean the pads. It would make it much more convenient for everyone. Also, I like the idea of pooling in money to fix our machines. You can count me in lolololol

And nice work about the Popn and the SN

I opt for Max2. It has like 8 exclusives and only 2 are any good really =p. 5th has like 50 exclusives and most are good.
