talked to Tyler and Chad today.
-They want to sell the DM, I'll keep my eyes out for a buyer.
-Tyler said it's fine if we clean out the pads w/ or w/o him there. Chad said it's fine if we want to go through and do them with Tyler after the community service bit.
-They'll probably have SuperNova around/before Christmas
-Pop'n is something they want, but are having trouble finding. It'd be especially beneficial if we can find one being sold in the US. I'll keep an eye out I guess, and maybe get in touch with TGA and see what they'd recommend on that.
-Was fine with us ordering the parts and donating them.

-Tyler is there in the mornings/til around 5 every Monday-Friday, if anyone has any tech issues.

Alpha, a distributor in Michigan, is selling a Pop'n Animelo 2 machine, which can be upgraded to (up through) Pop'n 8. You'd need to track down a working hardware kit if you wanted anything newer, however. They're also asking a pretty huge amount for the machine if I remember right.

Can Pop'n kits pre-9th be reused? I don't see it likely we'd find a new kit for Pop'n 8th or below heh.

hey, whats up everybody. Anybody got news for what we will be talking about on Wednesday the 18th at our meeting in FFC. I won't be able to make it so I was just wondering if anybody could send me the topics and discussion after they get back from it.
I would appreciate it greatly.

Auron777: I think there will be some discussion on what exactly has been discussed between Brazo & FFC and me & FFC, plus we can start discussing things like what we want to do in the OMG! as far as activities (like if we want to host tournaments to raise money) and if we want anything like t-shirts or anything. We can also talk about other things, but I can't think of any off the top of my head at the moment. As far as a redirection for the forums, I can't really help you there.

Gouged price on an Pop'n 8? I think we'll pass. It wouldn't be worth it because everyone would basically just want a newer better mix anyway and we would never get that if we saddled ourselves with the older hardware. I talked to Chad today and he said that upgrades on the machines really don't cause a permanent increase in sales, just a temporary boost that goes away after a month or two; the FFC basically upgrades for the players' satisfaction, not really for financial purposes. He said the upgrades don't really pay for themselves most of the time (I suppose the exceptions would be ITG or Extreme).

I also heard from him that the FFC used to have a Super Session set with KBM3, DM5, and GF6. (TT- TT )
The thought of playing KBM with DM and GF makes me salivate and also envious for those who actually ever did play it. I mean, how many of those super sets are even around anymore? Woe is me! Many tears will fall upon my pillow this night! :'(

super session only worked for like 4 songs anyways =p

classic party 3, the least 100 sec, and I think 2 others.

We never had Super Session because we never had a compatible Drummania. We DID, however, link GF5 to KBM3 and that worked quite well. An interesting note about KBM is that it completely changed the interface skin of being royal blue to a grey-black checkered skin. It was actually easier to see the notes IMO and it's unfortunate that it was used only in that mode. Also, Super Session allowed for 12 songs to be played. (The above plus Shiritori, Monkey Magic, Cassandra, Mr. Moon, Three Worms, Dear My Friend, Cosmic Cowgirl, Vitalize, Labyrinth, and Depend on Me).

Yeah, I used bass. I was pretty blown away when it happened. And I heard a couple people say "what the fuck?!" when I passed. Pretty good for a first try
