Finally passed Toccata (Advanced) Friday night, making that the hardest song I can play without the Autobass! I'm still pretty wild with the bass pedal though, hitting it LOTS of times when I'm not supposed to, so I've got to work on that (I'm usually hitting to the beat of the drums part, which isn't going to fly on other songs that don't have a steady bass line).

I brought a friend with me that night too. He's supposedly moving down here so he may become a new member of the unofficial Nebraska Bemani club, lol. He used to play a bit but once he moved there was no place to play it at. He still loves Afronova to death though.

one of the keys on IIDX 2P broke again Thursday night.

So yeah, my friend got his job here, so we'll be seeing more of him as soon as he moves back down here. He starts March 22, so it won't be long.

I was there earlier today, and Drummania 10th was down. And for a second I thought we got a new Guitar Freaks mix, then I just realized that the TV color was all jankified. Didn't do much DDR, but it appears I need to play Max 300 a bit more, as I biffed it 3/4 of the way through the song, something I haven't done in a LOOONG while.

My crowning acheivement today was passing Fireball on Extreme without Autobass. Man, that song is DAMN fun when you use the bass pedal with it. Fireball is now the highest level song I can pass without Autobass, so that makes me really happy about that. I'm still a ways away from getting anywhere close to you guys, but I'm streaming along. Next it's Dragon Blade (sorry, mod!)

Tyler spent the greater part of a day doing nothing but Bemani fixes a few days ago. GF is fixed now, as far as I know, and it just took a quick degauss to fix the screen.

Some horrible horrible person bashed two keys off of KBM and stole the rubber cover off of the DM10 hi-hat. My rage has just hit 11. I don't know how long it'll be until either of those problems are fixed.

Alchemist: You'll have to introduce me to your friend when he gets here. Anyone who appreciates old-school DDR is okay by me. Oh, and FINALLY, another person who agrees that Fireball is a great song to play. It makes me feel all swingy.

Oi Punk is now the hardest Pop'n song I can wing now at 37, though I'm pretty sure it's a fluke difficulty. Why is it so much easier than Moon Hyper? I guess there are things in life that man was simply not meant to understand. :P

I don't go back on the gameroom floor until... Tuesday. I'm somewhat relieved and disappointed. Instead of dealing with obnoxious children and immigrants, I get to deal with obnoxious adults and potheads. The fun never stops when you're trying to please the masses! :'(

Wasn't that there Wednesday morning!? If not, I guess I wasn't paying attention because the machine was off. That totally sucks though. Stupid wankers...

so are the keys/picks totally fine now, or did he just fix the screen?

I'm sure it was the picks and buttons. The screen only needed to be degaussed which takes like 10 seconds.

As far as I know, the buttons and picks work better, if not fine, now. I haven't checked it, but he did tell me he fixed it.

I'm not sure how often I'm going to be at FFC anymore. No money now+no real desire to go to FFC. Burned out on pop'n, messed up my ankle last time I played pump, IIDX is more fun at home. Plus no more half priced coupons.

I don't think he bought it from kenchan yet. I think he told him he wasn't interested after you said we couldn't use it. We might look into getting a new one. Distorted might make me actually want to go to ffc, lol.
