Do you have the USB I/O? I want to upgrade my machine from 8th. So called "kits" are turning up all over the place, but aren't really kits without the IO board as they are pretty much useless to many of us without the IO.

If by I/O you mean BemaniPC I have it. Otherwise, I don't have the FPGA device the security chip plugs into.

EDIT: I think that's the same as the one in the old machines anyway :/

So...I played V 7k today on happy sky home version and got 1 point away from AAAing it.....and 1 miss. I hate my life.

I don't mean to take away from Kenchan's offer, but it seems like there are quite a few kits on yahoo right now that could be obtained by FFC if someone took some initiative. Looks to have the BemaniPC, the security plug and the key as well.

It by no means detracts from my offer, just that's what I was planning on selling it to the new arcade, which is loaded. That's why the price is negotiable. They've been selling for 48,000 to 51,000 or so, with about 20,000 in fees an shipping. I won't hide that :3

That was actually my personal account that was used to make that purchase, so they would have to make one if they wanted to go the auction route.

I thought that might be the case. I doubt they'll take any initiative to do it themselves, so Kenchan's offer will probably be their best bet if they are interested in upgrading

Also, it looks like Kaizoku was the one that just picked up the kit I just linked to, so we'll probably see it pop up in the Marketplace one of these days

With as little initiative as FFC has taken to even repair their Bemani, I doubt upgrading is even in the scope of possibilities at this point. If a kit does show up on the Marketplace, I'll tell the heads about it, because they don't like having to rush decisions.

Spork, Pump's monitor is about twenty bajillion shades darker now for some reason. Is it easy to readjust that?

I had a heyday on Pop'n yesterday. Beat Piano Rock, Hip Rock 2, Elegy, and a few other 34-35 songs. Unfortunately, doing things like Elegy aren't really fun, as it seems to be my body reacting on pure reflex and that isn't enjoyable like fffff and Megane Rock where I can enjoy the patterns a bit.

New machine for this week at FFC is probably going to be Joust.

With Q'bert and Centipede (not on the floor yet, but I'm almost positive it'll be out soon), I'm thinking our 52-in-52 will be almost entirely old redemption games and vintage games... not that I don't like them, but I'd rather see some games I haven't played yet put on the floor (or games my parents didn't play, for that matter).

it's FFC, what do you expect. haha.

let them know that they can get the kit for around $500 or possibly a bit cheaper and that we'll come in and play it for a month like we did with Happy Sky instead of not coming in like we are now. if they're smart they'll see that they'll only make money by buying it.

If they're smart, they'll see that it won't actually make a difference, Brazo. Financially, it does nothing but put them in the hole for $500 that they aren't guaranteed back. As far as you guys not playing it if we don't get it, it won't matter because other people still do come to play it. Either way, the situation won't change much from what it is now.

We get it:
-$500 out of pocket for the upgrade.

-You guys play it and possibly put in more than $500, but I don't honestly think it'll raise that much.

-Odds of regaining the upgrade costs simply because of the upgrade: Low.

We don't get the upgrade:

-No cost to us now.

-We continue to get the other customers who play, plus you guys will nonetheless play it anyway from time to time.

Odds of making money off of IIDX without upgrade: Good.

See where I'm going with this? It's just not a solid investment for a niche title at this point. As much as I'd like to see DistorteD, I seriously doubt it because of those reasons.

What? How much has it been played? Usually the monitors only get darker when they are moved improperly, or there was a surge through it.

You may need to replace the monitor

people from MN and Canada are planning to drive down to MO to play DD when they get their kit in. I'm sure they'd rather stop at FFC which has more bemani and is closer.

additionally, none of us have been in in the last month. we'd be in 3-4 times a week for DD. we can play everything on Happy Sky at home; DD CS isn't coming out for another 3-4 months.
