Dual: Good, that means that I'm not crazy, just wrong on the requirements.

Brazoliange: Sorry I missed you last night. I got there at about 8:00 and I guess just missed you. My apologies.

On a very happy note, I managed to beat Concertino in Blue on Extreme last night with a B. It was the first time I finished the song on that difficulty, so I was very happy with myself.

Yeah, I have some Vic Firth "Dave Weckl Signature Series" that I keep wrapped to add weight to the middle of the sticks and to give me grip so I don't throw them around the room on fast songs. Nothing screams DM failure like bestowing concussions upon surrounding gamers.

Hope to catch you sometime. I still have no clue who/what I'm looking for when I'm trying to spot you, though. Any clues?

Oh bleep. It's weird that I've known you in person longer than I've known you online. ~o, O !!):~ If you figured it was me, why didn't you say something, eh? I was the only person there with a tie.

BTW, heard what happened the other night. Though I've only heard one side of it, it makes me apprehensive of playing DDR with you. Not that I'm good enough anymore to play seriously anyway.

Best of luck to you and hope to catch you there soon.

Gah, only two more days left in August...FFC, don't let me down! I'll, once again, be there from 10 am to noonish in high hopes that a brand new SuperNOVA machine is there to greet me!

EDIT: T_T Nope. The guy said that they were looking into it sometime around the busy season, which is around late November till April. The guy was nice though, he asked us who they should advertise the DDR games to. I said colleges mainly, but other game stores or malls would work, as well as high schools and resturaunts in the area. The one thing we told him though was that the bumped up Wednesday price is just not that great of a deal, at least on Wednesdays. Regular days it'll work, but you can't beat 1 Token. Me and my buddy used to stay for about 3-4 hours on Wednesdays and we'd spend like $5 or $6. Now we run through about $10 in an hour...not good.

Correction, not good for you. I'm sure they make significantly more from us now; even though I heard a lot of players saying they wouldn't play as many games with a higher price, it never fails to see them there playing the night away. I think that .25 is overkill, honestly. I mean, they really wouldn't be making hardly anything off of that, as you have to weigh out that as much of the time on Wednesday nights the machines usually all have at least one player on them (or 3 of the 4 DDR machines going) and players on the IIDX and a few scattered amongst the others, the real factor on Wednesdays isn't price but time. When the machines are at full capacity, no lower price is gonna get more people on them, so as I see it, even though we're paying a quarter more, the machines are staying at high capacity so there really isn't that big a loss for them. Also, when push comes to shove, are you really that desperate for the extra quarter a game? Seems like a lot of people complained about the price increase and never stopped to think about how lucky they were to even have the games around. I'd still be willing to pay .75 any day because I'm used to a four hour drive to play for a buck for three songs.

Ahem, sorry for the long spiel about that, and if I'm wrong someone please correct me, as I don't like giving out bad info.

Back to the SuperNOVA, do they intend on getting a new cabinet for it or do they want to upgrade a previous mix?

Although I don't work there anymore, I can tell you that they have no plans to get a brand new machine since they can just upgrade.

I just really hope the upgrade max2 and not extreme, because losing all of the extreme licenses would suck.

^ I agree. Losing Extreme is a bad idea, especially since it will have the second largest library, next to SuperNOVA.

And I'm not bashing the new deal or anything, because it IS a good deal...for a normal day. Thing is, 1 Token Wednesday was a regular thing that they always did. They increased the price and SAID it was just to test it out for a couple weeks. My thought is that they're just trying to make more money, which is unfair. Any other day this new price would happen would be okay with me, but taking out 1 Token Wednesdays for that...

It's more of a gripe than a complaint to me. I still play, but I don't stay as long, nor do I go every week now. I may spend the same amount in one day, but I stay less and I frequent less. Granted, I don't know the night scene very well, as I'm usually working, but they are losing money off of me.

Sorry for the bump post, but I was there last night and I'm pretty sure I saw Brazoliange. You were on Extreme most of the time, but I wasn't 100% sure it was you, so I didnt' say anything, lol. If you noticed me, I was the short blonde kid who was with a tall, brown-haired kid. My shirt said "Don't Strip..." on the front and we were mostly on Max 2. There was also a girl with us...

If that was you, then DAMN.....you're good. Also, was the guy playing IIDX/Drummania someone from here as well?

that was probably me on Extreme (I had an Abortion is Genocide shirt on, haha). I couldn't do much of anything though because of the pads and the fact that I'm sick. I don't remember your shirt/face, but I never really pay attention to whoever's playing max2 haha.

Alchemist: It was possibly me on IIDX/DM, as those are the only two games I play in that section. It really depends on the manner of dress: If you saw someone with a tie, it was definitely me; if the person you saw was wearing khaki or black slacks and a dress shirt, then it was maybe me. :P

I haven't picked you out yet, Alchemist, so if you see me before I see you, don't be a stranger.

Brazo: Was that your family with you the other day when I saw you playing all of the different Bemani games? You did really well on CiB for using melon-buster sticks; I'd tire out and die having to use those things. If that's what you pass CiB EXT with, then you have my admiration, though it's probably not healthy to use such heavy sticks on the already-weak pads.

Brazoliange, that was you, the shirt was red, right? Yep. Thought so, I'll be sure to say hi next time, lol.

zckojiro, the girl that was with me talked to you while you were playing IIDX while I was on Max2. If that was you that she talked to (I have no clue what she asked, but my guess is "how can you see those that fast?" or something like that) then I know who you are too.

Haha, that was me, I think. I play IIDX and DM. I'm decent at both, I guess. I can do 70s on drummania with bass. I talked to jinx the other day. I was the guy you told to play rolling1000toon and got my ass handed to me. I'm not sure who you are they, alchemist. I don't know, say hi next time I'm there or something.
