the 1P extreme pad and DM 7th were in really great shape tonight.

the DM10th's hi hat doesn't work anymore though.

I don't like the rebound that the DM7 machine's pads have compared to those of the DM10 machine. Just springier feeling on the DM10.

What was it you were doing on DDR last night? Were you trying to get three AAAs or something? Seemed like a lot of wasted money since you quit after missing notes. :S

AAAing songs, and I didn't really feel like wasting the stamina finishing them sometimes. The pad was so inconsistantly either perfect or crappy, it didn't really make sense.

Do you know if they have a machine maintenance guy there (or who shows up regularly) or do they rely on the technical prowess of the floor guys? For all the time I've been there I've only seen two maintenance people (one changing the coin mechanism on KBM and I believe the other guy was doing building maintenance) but I don't believe they were regular workers.

I figured I'd start playing around a bit with the bass pedal the other night. Originally I had vowed never to use it, almost like a personal policy, but I'm running out of variety on those machines and figured I'd give it a couple rounds. After such a fun start with Monster Tree and the Real-whatever song with the girl chasing stars (Real-something-Yume?), I took a nose dive on Hikarie, failing it at the hi-hat rolls. :'( Needless to say, alternating bass kills me. Does anyone know any mid-level songs with a steady set of alternating bass lines that would be good to practice those on?

Oh, and KBM for the win. Now that they've turned the sound up, it really makes for a better experience on it.

The 2p pad on Extreme was sticking when I was there last time. I think it was the down arrow. My friend kept failing his songs because it was stuck, lol.

Also, I didn't see any of you there last time I went, but if you were there and I was just not paying attention (I had a monster headache) I was the one who passed Max 300 and yelled out "I got a C!" Then I left, lol. That was on Wednesday night.

I was probably gone. The 1p side on Extreme was AMAZING. The right side always sucks, it was probably the right arrow. That always sticks. I got 15 misses on do you remember me because of it.

Came to the conclusion that repetative strain injury has claimed my right index finger. Hurts to move it during certain activities, namely drumming (strangely, typing doesn't hurt at all, though clicking the mouse does sometimes). I might be at the FFC tonight if I can get less sore.

Beat Dragon Blade EXT without autobass. I'm trying to tackle some of the midrange songs now that I'm finally adjusting to double bass and alternating bass.

~Jinx

9/20 EDIT: Woot. Injured finger or not, I still managed to beat Children's Sketchbook EXT with a B.

Tonight and tomorrow night I'll be having an old friend come play. He's a decent Guitar Hero guy, so he can probably wing it passably on GF. Anyone up for sessions?

I was there on Friday with my buddy again. We were wearing our work shirts, I was in the red one, my friend was in the black one. We played a couple games of DDR, GF (he was on DM) and lots of Puzzle Fighter. I still don't know what you look like, but did you see me?

Actually, if you guys are a little shorter than Brazo, then I think I did see you. Were the shirts like polos? Did you play pretty late at night, say 11:30-ish? If so, then I saw you. I was in a white dress shirt.

~Jinx

EDIT: I did get the job there at FFC, so you guys will probably see me more often down there. I'll do what I can to sway the powers upon high into considering upgrading/repairing some of the music games (of course, I can't be completely biased towards them; other games need loving, too).

Yep, that was us. I was the short blonde kid in the red one. We were there from about 10 to 12:30. I think I remember seeing you...did you play Puzzle Fighter that night as well?
