Extreme is gone so the optimistic outcome would be a new SN2 cab. obviously that's not the most feasible thing though.

Well, I've got good news and bad news about FFC, kiddies. All news is straight from the source (aka Tony and Chad), so consider it as gold as it can get, for better or worse.

The Bad News:

1. First off, regarding DDR Extreme: Yes, it is sold. There were two rumors about it mostly, one that it was sold and the other was that it had been sent somewhere reliable for cleaning and maintenence. I learned today that the former was the true case and you shouldn't expect to see it around anymore. For most of you, this is met with either apathy or mild discomfort, so I suppose bad news could've been worse.

The Neutral News:

2. Tony said that if there are any CS versions of DDR that we want in either 5th Mix or 7th Mix, agree on which ones for which systems and we could have them installed in a cs rig quite soon to bide us over. I told him that the PS2 DDR games were probably more numerous than the ones for 360 or Wii, to which he replied that if we want PS2 DDR games, he can get up to five of them in a machine. I have absolutely no opinion on this as I don't play DDR, but I would suggest that perhaps you guys consider it as it's better than no new songs at all.

The Good News:

3. Pop'n Music has already had the parts ordered for replacement and Tony believed Tyler had already received them to the shop. Official word says to expect Pop'n to be up very soon.

4. There was a reason why Extreme was sold and there was a reason why I said "bide us over" regarding the DDR CS rig. Two reasons, actually.

I have to say the CS machine is a terrible idea. The last thing you want to be doing during a song is fishing for tokens to make sure that you have enough time to finish a song. Plus, if you fail and have time left on the machine, who is to say that you have to give up the machine to possible next player waiting. The last thing I heard was that they will re-evaluate whether or not they can get SN2 (upgrade kit, not ded cab). A large part of the decision whether or not to get it will be the availability of e-amusement.

I know FFC has not done the best at keeping up there machines but seriously WTF happend

I have not been there in a few months and i just stepped in on monday and i want to cry a little

good news on pop'n Jinx but did i read that right the DM is down?

DM is kinda down. In other words, it's as good as down. They traded out DM7's speakers now for DMV3's when they sold DM7. Now we have almost no bass to speak of and pretty crappy muffled treble. Oh, and the hi-hat needs replacing STILL. It just triggers whenever it feels like it rather than when you hit it, making some songs virtually impossible.

I listened to Pop'n Party's new tracks and I only liked three of the new ones (assuming that's really Jewelry Girl that's making it's way on). The fast jazz piano song is cool and... hmm... okay, maybe two new good songs? Not even the Asaki song on this one makes me happy because it's an old song recycled from the album.

I'd personally pass on Party and just get whatever (hopefully better) mix comes next.

IMO, V5's new songs >>>>> Pop'n Party's new songs.

too bad iidx 15 is better than both, but ffc's iidx machine is such a joke it would be just as fun as 3rd style
