i could set up troopers at ffc (totally legally of course!!) if i had a jpac or ipac dont remember, but it would be really easy. but it would either be a) not worth my time since the monitor is so terrible or b) they just wouldnt let me cause its ffc. or c) lets just play some distorted on the awesome monitor they have now
as I remember jpac and ipac both work, but it's really not worth the bother. I need to talk to someone, but at worst we should have Troopers coming within 2-3 months. Ideally less obviously, hence the other person.
Did they switch out or readjust DM's monitor? It looks startlingly crisp and with no pulsating red anymore.
I swapped the RCA cable that was previously hooked up for an S-video cable last week. All preparation for its big brother (hopefully) coming back soon.
GFV3 kit came in, GFV3 kit is currently useless, kit now sits.
Watch kit sit. Sit kit sit.
HOWEVER... I /did/ get Tyler to resolder the points on DM's hi-hat's PCB, so bammo, we got a nice fresh hi-hat (I almost FC'd Right On Time, so it's as good as it'll get right now). I did notice some weird monitor issues at times, though; stepping too hard on the bass pedal caused the screen to flicker, but I think I got it fixed before I left. Also, I fixed the bass pedal on RB2 as best as I could and put a thin layer of rubber underneath the contact point on the pedal so now it doesn't clank so bad when someone stomps on it. FYI, if the bass pedal on RB2 ever works up at FFC, just unplug it from behind the controller's 360 button area (the little stereo jack) and replug it to defubar the thing.
