If I get time tomorrow I'll look into getting it fixed. This is about a 30% chance of happening.

Also, ****** still says you were sent plugs or something, Braz. What exactly happened there?

Man, how many times do I have to explain this.

We were sent a white plug (for GF) and a Japanese black plug (to 'convert' DM). We can try 'converting' DM, but there's a chance it will brick our kit. Marc tried once with the V2 black plug and we initially thought it was bricked. We can give it a shot, but obviously I'm not going to do so without go-ahead from Chad/Tony and/or without another kit lined up in case that does end up happening.

There was no issue with the plugs, the issue is whether we want to risk bricking DM to get it 'converted', which may or may not work. I'm looking into getting a Japanese PCB lined up, and ideally we can essentially swap, but if not I'd love to have a base price I can initially offer assuming that a 'swap' wouldn't work.

Bleh, the only bemani I really play is Pop'n and it's still not in good condition. Same button got stuck again, getting tired of the temporary solution of WD-40.... which consequently makes my hands smell like WD-40 after I'm done playing.

Wait, what? Are you spraying WD-40 into Spork's machine's buttons or am I missing something? D:

That is apparently FFC's solution to sticky keys.

Yeah... and that's probably why nothing there ever fucking works. Those buttons have drain holes in the bottom of them that go straight to, you guessed it, the electrical bits. Only non-metallic non-liquid lubricants should be used for those buttons.

Fixed both P1 and P2 start buttons on GF (completely replaced P2, it was the first time I've ever seen the interior of a button completely smashed. Someone would've had to freaking dropkick it to get it that fragmented... D Also replaced the bad microswitches in Pop'n, but the real problem is that the buttons themselves (and their light/switch housings) are both gunked up and need to be scrubbed with a brush and cleaned with detergent, while the switch housings need to be examined to see if they're warping from the heat of the light. From what it looks like, the bulbs in the lights right now are too powerful for what it should be and are warping the light housing (which also holds the microswitch; when it warps, the button's teeth parts can't reach the switch properly or even at all), but at the same time the dirty buttons keep it from looking like it's really bright, so when/if they get cleaned, there shouldn't be a problem with switching to a lower watt bulb then. It'd be really nice if we could get some money to buy Pop'n some white LEDs rather than the hot bulbs, not to mention the LEDs would last several years at the very least.

Sometimes I wonder why Mod got banned for his comments and you haven't. :\

Anyway, I just don't think they're going to spend the cash repairing a machine that frankly isn't going to make that cash back at this point. It was fallacy of the highest for them to get rid of Extreme and keep 5th + 7th (then again, we all know that Tony and Chad have absolutely no clue or desire to know which to keep and why), so basically I can see 5th sitting in back and becoming the spare parts machine for when others break down.

Which, you know, is probably going to be sooner than later knowing FFC.

Pop'n needs a whole new red button. The others are playable now (well, it's almost always playable if you beat the everliving shit out of them), but either the black part or the white part of the button is warped in such a way that it just won't slide without force. This isn't a problem when pushing it down, but obviously there is nothing with enough force to pop it back up from the other side. I'll talk to Tyler next time I see him about getting a similar button off of a redemption game put on it for the time being until/if they order a new one. The one that I've seen on the redemption game is similar to the buttons they got as replacements for the first bad button set, so it'll be crappy, but it'll work (mostly).

Well, ideally they'd sell Max2 and/or 5th and pick up a DDRX cab, but obviously that's not very likely at this point.
