Gotcha, so that was you, Nick. Nice to meet you also - as far as trips go it'll probably be a once per month occurrence.

Other than those issues the machine played fine. The power issue I can understand if the machine's on for a long period of time (it only started crapping out about 4 hours in), but the quarter slot is the big issue for me. We got around it some yesterday by jostling the inside of the slot, but eventually that didn't work either.

wow sooo I've got a lot to catch up on it seems

Lemme start by saying I love the comments!
-I'm going to start by hurting the racing fans and say I probably won't get a racing game anytime soon. I don't even have a truck or panel van so logistics is still a sore subject for me and being that I'm only getting a 1 year contract (if and when that actually happens) we're def gonna work on fighters for the time being. I'm sorry.

-SF4 appears to be the clear winner however yes money is a larger factor based on the 2 pcb thing. I know that bb does have the ability to play 2p on one PCB so we'll probably hafta start there.

-Cabinets are another hard topic so I'm going to say if you know where I can get some cheap 2player cabinets preferably with an LCD or I'll put my own LCD in it for less than 2K please let me know. I'm looking into building my own but time/support/effort is a large factor there.

-iidx quarter issue is stemming from the deck being destroyed. I'm working on a fix but mainly it's a drive to bgsu in the am, remove the deck and take it to home depot and see what we can use to fix it, issue. if you push or pull on the deck the quarters will fall in if there's one stuck and you haven't shoved in 50 quarters already.

Hope that helps give people an idea of what's up!

To get the quarters to drop reliably, push up on the deck with your hip.

Update time!
IIDX Empress deck is fixed!

I purchased the soul calibur 2, point blank and empty showcase cabinet.

Point Blank has a bad monitor board that is being sent out to get repaired. I'm up for upgrade suggestions for that machine.

The showcase cab is going to get a cheap little multi-game cart installed until I can afford something awesome for it.

The plan is currently to move the remaining four machines from Findlay Oh to BGSU this saturday AM. I'm still waiting confirmation that this can be done form the BGSU powers that be.

Once that is complete BGSU will have ITG2 (with massive song list), para para paradise 2, guitar freaks 11 and pop'n music 14 (LCD modded).

All music games will be 0.50 with the exception of iidx for obvious reasons. All non music games will be 0.25 until we get something good in there.

Would it be possible for you to put an Ultracade system in the Showcase cabinet? If I recall correctly, the one Mark had did pretty well. I don't know why he moved it to Owens Toledo.

I finally got a chance to play Empress at BG, it was very nice but I definitely think I am too tall for the machine. I have to like crouch down to hit the buttons comfortably. It also takes adjusting to how close the monitor is to the controller. I really appreciate the machine though and can't wait to get some other games in there.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it!

This week update:
Everything is in order for the move of the last four machines.
-We will be at BGSU at 10am (pending the truck gets loaded up on time)
-10am we'll get unloading and we're hoping to have everything up and running by 2pm!
-The kit is in for the showcase cabinet so we'll try and get that up and running too!
-Should have 8 machines up and running as of Saturday!
-Any additional help would be greatly appreciated!

I won't stick around too long after b/c I have take the truck back but I should be up again the following week!

Pending on how hungover I am, I'll probably stop in and help out Saturday morning.

Since I can't edit the first post here, I'll add this as a reply.

We have added (and fixed) the following to the gameroom as of 10/25/09:

Beatmania IIDX Empress:
75cents per play

ParaParaParadise 2nd Mix:
50cents per play

Guitarfreaks 11th:
50cents per play

In The Groove 2 (+Customs):
50cents per play

SoulCalibur 2:
25cents per play

Arbel's Pop'n Fever machine is still here for a very short time until it is shipped to it's new owner.
A Pop'n cab is in the works for a replacement and I'll update you on that hopefully tomorrow.
We also have another cab being fixed up and as far was what will be on it I am not sure. I will also hopefully
have news on that soon.

The Student Union is open from:
Monday - Saturday: 8am - Midnight
Sunday: 10am - Midnight

Parking:
You can park at any of the lots where you see a red dot or a green dot AFTER 5PM. There is
a visitors lot at the union itself, but it is a pay to park lot and they charge by the hour. However,
if you park at the pay lot and wait until 11pm, the lot gates open and you can leave without paying.

If you come without quarters you can obtain some from the Information Desk,
shown here in this shoddy MSPaint map:

If you show up and have any problems let me know:
