I haven't tried GF yet, but I'm sure it's definitely making more money then 1st.
Pop'n still running fine.
I'm able to head to the arcade on a semi-daily basis now, since I live almost down the street from it now.

I can understand why he'd be mad about our Guitar Freaks being there - He's got his own there, and I'm sure he is viewing it as cutting in on his profits. When Phorrest came to me a few weeks ago and mentioned he was thinking of putting his 11th mix in at BG, the exact same thing ran through my head - However I was under the impression that GF 11th was there strictly to replace the broken candy cabinet, and would also be taken out when IIDX got put in since with how things are right now, there wasn't room for all of it. At the time, It sounded as if it would only be there for the remainder of the summer.
His Guitar Freaks has never made him more than a handful of quarters a week, what is keeping him from just replacing his Guitar Freaks with Keyboardmania? People are excited that we have some modern Bemani to play - That Guitar Freaks has been the target of jokes since he put it in there. It was put in there in the interest of the students and anyone else that wanted something more contemporary to play - Nothing vicious was meant by it; we're not trying to cut into his profits, no matter how large or small they may be.
Feel free to relay any or all of this to him, or have him create an account here - Whatever's cool for him. We're back in BG on Tuesday if he wants to wait until then too. I'll do what I can to let Phorrest know what's up, and we'll try to figure something out.

Like Paul said, I was really unaware that it was coming and was thinking that iidx would just replace it right away, but not sure when that is coming either... So yeah I can explain the situation. I don't want any conflicts and I respect him for letting us use some space so let him know so he doesn't get too upset.

Total Tokens: 138,865.56 Donate Tokens | He usually collects on Tuesdays, but he doesn't do it as often during the summer, and I don't think he's done it at all since the last time he and I moved stuff to Ohio City.
As for why I act the intermediary: Mark thinks his experience with running arcade makes him nigh-infallible, and (from what I can tell, I may be wrong) he doesn't really like you guys. I do, and he likes me, so I do it to help keep the peace. Also, I don't think he's had an account here since 7.0 went live.
And I mentioned on page 2 (assuming 40 posts per page) that something is wrong with the Keyboard Mania, otherwise it would be there. I don't recall exactly what; an error with execution or something. Next time I'm there, I'll see if I can get Mark to let me check. He keeps saying that the GF is making money (and he'd know), otherwise he would have taken it out.
If one of you guys wants to call him and explain the situation with the GF, PM me and I'll give you his phone number.

Acen was special in that it wasn't during the school year, and Phorrest was able to make the trip out here to retrieve the machine and personally watch over it at the convention.

I have no control over DMV3 but I do own the Pop'n machine. The only way I would haul a machine to a convention is if it could be profitable, I had transportation, and was getting free membership/gas paid. Last Acen I made good money but basically made nothing after paying 60+ for gas, money for food, and other expenses and had some surface damage to the machine.
So yeah..guess it really depends.
