So Cedar Point got Supernova yesterday. Posting my observations here...story in the Supernova Locations thread.
My observations:
-- Records are based on machine score, and all machine scores, regardless of foot rating are based out of 1000000. You need ~950000 for a AA, or 95% DP.
-- The select buttons are retarded. You have to hold it down for a second or two for it to start scrolling automatically, and the sound is ANNOYING. Also, you have to pretty much press the left and right select buttons at the same exact time to get to ABC sort.
-- The song wheel goes back to default sort after you play a song. GAY.
-- BE SURE TO SELECT ALL MUSIC TO GET ALL THE MUSIC. When you select the difficulty, you have to go past Difficult to open up the other three options (Nonstop, Challenge, All Music). All the other difficulties have songs cut out of it.
-- You have to HOLD down and NOT let go of the start button to get to the options menu after selecting a song. You can't press, let go, and then press it again; it won't go into the menu.
-- You can't turn off characters

... But Emi is in there, so it's all good.
-- The machine stores the best machine score on a song, but we all knew that.
-- The pads are nice...but you have to put more weight than usual to hold down a freeze arrow.
-- Solo is now called Rainbow. Note is really gay.
Song observations:
-- rainbow rainbow is really early, and it's a boring 7 on Expert

Could've done more with the chart, or included a nice Challenge chart.
-- Happy Angel is a great cut of it (if it was cut at all) and a really REALLY fun 8.
-- Most of the new Konami Originals are good, especially Honey Punch and True Love.
-- Long Train Runnin' is really gay now. The Pandora stuff is hawt, though.
-- Xepher Challenge, at least to me, feels harder than Sakura, but easier than any of the other 10s.
-- Max 300 Super-Max-Me-Mix Challenge is fucking retarded. Worse than that PSMO bullshit.
-- Fascination MaxX is REALLY REALLY hard on 1.5x solo reverse (aka Extra Stage).
