This probably won't help me any since I'm in Kansas, but why not take part anyway.

If you could choose any four music games, what would they be?
DDR (Extreme, Max2, or 5th Mix preferrably), pop'n, IIDX... those three are the only ones I really care about. Maybe Pump or GF.

If you could choose any two fighting games, what would they be?
No preference on this one.

If there was a reasonable flat rate available, would you take advantage of it?
Most likely.

Would you be interested in community events, such as tournaments, movie/music nights, lock-ins, or (fill in the blank)?
Most likely.

How far would you be willing to travel (this purely hypothetical arcade would be located within Omaha)?
20-30 miles.

If food/drink was available, would you make use of it? What would you like to eat/drink?
Bottled water, tons of it. A water fountain would be nice but otherwise shittons of bottled water. Gatorade/Powerade maybe. Chips/nachos would be good... maybe small microwavable things like hot pockets or something if a microwave was also provided. A local place used to have food like that and I always thought it was kinda cool, though they were way overpriced so I never actually ate any of it.

If wi-fi was available, would you make use of it? If a PC was available, would you be interested in using it? What would you like have installed on it?
I'd probably use the wi-fi, not so much the computer, on one condition: If there were a safe place (like lockers or something) I could store my DS/laptop when I was playing the arcade games.

What consoles/games would you be interested in having, if any?
A PS2 and a Wii, although I'm not sure if you'd really want to leave a Wii out for anyone to play on it. The PS2 just for the sheer amount of games that are out for it (I can't think of many I'd specifically want an arcade to have at the moment). The Wii because Wiis are cool. :3 And since not many people have them, yet they're very casual-gamer friendly, you could probably make a good amount of money off of it.

If you could choose any four music games, what would they be?
DDR (Extreme), IIDX (GOLD/Troopers), Pop'n (Fever/Adventure in non-Animelo cab), DrumMania

No preference on this one.

Yes.

Yes.

Not applicable

If food/drink was available, would you make use of it? What would you like to eat/drink?
Aside from a drinking fountain, unless you have something really special the costs of upkeeping a kitchen won't be that big of a draw especially with fast food as an option. Soda would probably be a good idea to have for sale.

If wi-fi was available, would you make use of it? If a PC was available, would you be interested in using it? What would you like have installed on it?
Wi-Fi (nothing fancy) would be a good idea. A single PC with internet and almost no restrictions wouldn't hurt either. Some general games (Counter-Strike, WC3, UT GOTY) wouldn't be a horrible idea. A video compression program would probably be nice.

What consoles/games would you be interested in having, if any?
Honestly none are really necessary or worthwhile. Having space for a console setup or two would be kind of neat though I guess.

If you could choose any four music games, what would they be?
Latest version of IIDX, DMGF, Pop'n, DDR (maybe extreme, although 5th mix is good, too).

If you could choose any two fighting games, what would they be?
Tekken (whichever they're up to now) and GG.

If there was a reasonable flat rate available, would you take advantage of it?
Define reasonable, but yes, most likely.

Would you be interested in community events, such as tournaments, movie/music nights, lock-ins, or (fill in the blank)?
Tournies, yes, anything else I'd probably be a bit old for.

How far would you be willing to travel (this purely hypothetical arcade would be located within Omaha)?
This is very dependent on what you have and what my first impressions are on my initial visit. When I was still big on DDR, I would drive an hour and a half to play Extreme at Coral Ridge every weekend. The arcade was well-maintained, the crowd there was decent, and I had a good time. Omaha is 4 hours away for me, so I'm already limited to once a month if that. If FFC has gotten as ghetto as I'm reading about lately, it may be a long time before I go back after MMS. When did they start charging weekend covers, anyway?

If food/drink was available, would you make use of it? What would you like to eat/drink?
Water fountains are fine, but otherwise, no.

If wi-fi was available, would you make use of it? If a PC was available, would you be interested in using it? What would you like have installed on it?
If I'm going to get on wireless away from home, it will be in a coffee shop, munching on muffins and getting a caffiene buzz, not at an arcade.

What consoles/games would you be interested in having, if any?
I'd go with anything multiplayer.

2. Tekken 6 and SF4. lol

4. Yep.

5. Depends.

6. Yep. Pizza!

It's also what a lot of arcades do around the country. Arcades tend to hire idiots that think they don't need to do crap, that working at an arcade is super simple, and/or that they can play games all day. Either that or it's run by a complete idiot or someone with the wrong business sense and/or unable to keep up with the changing arcade market.

Again, described perfectly. :P

TBsmasher: They started the higher cover about a week ago. It STILL does not keep the dumpster folk out, unfortunately. I /did/ get to whack a little kid in the hand for touchin' IIDX's TT while I was playing doubles. Crappy little beggar urchin children... kid had the audacity to beg me for tokens afterwards. >:\

Hypothetical Arcade Owner From The Future, please maintain a strict "no token-beggars" policy in addition to the standard "this is an arcade, not a daycare, so don't drop your damn dirty apes off here without money" rule that FFC doesn't follow. :P

Does anyone know what e-Amuse would cost for a US arcade? I haven't seen any figures tossed around anywhere for it yet.

I wasn't even aware that e-Amuse was "allowed" in the US, though I vaguely remember hearing something about Supernova getting it.

e-Amuse is impossible in the US and has always been.

Have you forgotten domestic location tests? No, it's not impossible, no it hasn't always been.

I'm wondering what any official source has said about it regarding implementing it for future US releases and what kinda costs arcades in Asia pay for it. Also, has Betson changed their stance on e-Amuse since DDR SN2?

The only location tests that had e-Amuse were the SN2 and GF/DM loctests, for a brief period of time running from the Japanese servers set up as a special circumstance by Konami. There has never been any way for US arcade operators to use e-Amuse with any Bemani game. Betson has indicated thusfar that they will not be supporting e-Amuse in any form.

If you could choose any four music games, what would they be? In The Groove 2 (r21), Guitar Freaks+Drummania sessioned, toss-up between IIDX and Pop'n for the last slot.

If you could choose any two fighting games, what would they be? Capcom Vs. SNK 2, ???

If there was a reasonable flat rate available, would you take advantage of it? Definitely.

Would you be interested in community events, such as tournaments, movie/music nights, lock-ins, or (fill in the blank)? Very much so. These are what I miss most from Bowling Green's 2>>Play.

How far would you be willing to travel (this purely hypothetical arcade would be located within Omaha)? For me (coming from Ohio) the only feasible option is weekend trips with friends, but I would definitely be willing to make the effort.

If food/drink was available, would you make use of it? What would you like to eat/drink? Yes; I'd suggest various frozen things (Hot Pockets, etc, plus a microwave or two), and definitely energy drinks. (Water too, of course, but that should be free.)

If wi-fi was available, would you make use of it? If a PC was available, would you be interested in using it? What would you like have installed on it? Wi-fi: no, but only because I don't have a laptop anymore. PCs: Basic tools like messenger programs (AIM, etc.) and various games. (Dunno on that, I play older games mostly.)

What consoles/games would you be interested in having, if any? Rock Band, Bemani home versions.
