Last week was the most packed Friday I've seen since I started bowling league back in September. It was nice seeing people in the game room. I wasn't the only person on the IIDX machine, which was amazing.

I was there from 5-10 and for about 4 of those hours I was the only one in the arcade. But I cant complain too much because the people there are amazingly nice.
I am going to see if I can somehow stop by on my way home if at all possible. But if not I can still say I went.
I have to say DrumMania may now be my favorite Bemani. I dont know how good it is but I played it for the first time yesterday and could easily pass some 35's. I now have to order a controller. Are they any good compared to the arcade?

I haven't had to wait to play iidx in a few months now. Before you go pm Andy on the TGA boards and just ask if a random group is coming up or something like that if your really paranoid that TGA will be busy when you go.

If you want real electric drums look up and order a "DTX Express" It's a little costy, but you'll get the same arcade feel.

For $900 im better off saving a few more and buying a machine and making it work with a ps2.

No one other than myself and Dave played IIDX. I played LOTS of doubles IIDX and it was awesome. I'm now clearing 4* and very few 5* DP. I know it's pathetic, but we all have to start somewhere.

A decent number of people from CT will probably be up on Saturday. It's been awhile since I've been to TGA...

I live in West Boynton Beach, FL, which is about 10 miles north of Boca Raton. I have been contemplating going to TGA with my friend and I wanted to ask, what would be the quickest/cost effective way to get there?
Of course the obvious answer in my head is to take a plane, but how would I get to the arcade? Unfortunately neither me or my friend are old enough to rent a car.
Maybe train?
The last resort would be to take a massive road trip, but I would like to avoid that as much as possible please.
Thank you!

Of course the plane will get you here, and even if you decided to take the commuter rail from the airport, it's still pretty far from the arcade, and you'd need to be picked up from there. So all in all, roadtrip it with your family in the Summer.

You *could* fly to Bradley in CT and get a room in Hartford, in which case you are about 2.5 hours from TGA, 2-2.5 hours from Boston, and a 45 minute drive to New Haven from which you can take a 2-2.5 hour train into NYC. I know this sounds like a vacation and not a road trip, but coming up to New England from Florida just to go to an arcade and not stopping in Boston or NYC is silly if you have never been to either.
Take someone who can drive. =)

It'll be about a 24 hour drive. If you know your car is up to it, it's not such a bad idea. Make sure you have a few other people who are willing to drive with you, so you can all take shifts.
I know of a LOT of people who have driven to Florida. My sister did that a few years ago.
If you are to fly, you would take the subway to North Station, then take the Commuter Rail towards Fitchburg. The nearest train station to TGA is Fitchburg, and that's like a 20 minute drive. There are no buses to TGA since there aren't a lot of businesses out in Winchendon, so you'd need to arrange a ride. Strangely the buses go to MWCC, which is 10 minutes from TGA, but that's as far as the buses go.
