It's fun how I can say "Let's go to TGA!" and my mom is like "no, that drive is so boring, if you can get a friend to go then I'll take you" and then I get sad because I don't have any Bemani-playing friends

TGA was awesome, but I didn't see anyone I knew. For those who were there, I was the kid with glasses and the black Fullmetal Alchemist hat.

I doubt anyone in this thread was there, and I didn't see you, RSP. I was kinda disappointed by that. >_<

Oh well, I whored Fever all day anyways. I went home after 6.5 hours because I literally could not play. My hands were all messed up from doing 30+ ranked songs for hours on end.

GF/DM was really fun as well. I'd never played before, and I was passing like 20-25s no problem >_<

And, uhh, DMX is the stupidest game evar.

I will be writing TGA a nice Thank You email tomorrow for being beyond awesome though. (I went back for coins more than anyone else I saw...) And they had Hi-C. It was worth the 1hr45min drive into the boonies. I probably won't be back for a month or two, but hopefully I will be able to make it back before winter, pending car repairs can crap.

^^;

Next time around, get a hold of me. I'd pitch in for gas - or you could pitch in and I'd drive. (That may not be for a while, though, and I can only really do Fridays and Sundays.)

Its cool you had fun Eight.

I'm taking a TGA hiatus because of Otakon and that no matter how you describe it TGA isn't cheap when you go every week. =\

No joke. That trip cost me ~$50 for transportation, drinks, and games. It's well worth it... but, uhm, I work at a Barnes and Noble guys... >_<

But our Bowling Alley has blacklights and a claw machine. Your freinds can super-euro-hyper-rave-bowl and win a stuffed animal.

Don't forget about those spinning color lights on the ceiling, and those cool string lights on the side of the alley. That is one sexy bowling alley. The Super Eurobeat music makes it fun. "Gonna get to you, I'm your Space Boy! Wo Wo Wo Wo". Some day I'll actually go there and bowl. I bring my bowling ball and shoes every time, but I never bowl.

You know, something I've been wondering.

You're trying to preserve Playaway Lanes' 50's style theme, right?

So, why the fuck you do you have disco lights on and dance music playing?

I like it too, but it doesn't scream 50's... plus I'm never in the bowling area, so...

TGA's bowling alley was just damn sexy. Especially since it made for the PERFECT backdrop for us recording the TechPara/ParaPara performances during the Bowl-mani Fest. I especially like those multi-faceted lightes that moved around to the beat of the music, that was a very sweet touch<3

I'm still planning on going back up there later this year, more than likely around time for my birthday (January 2 FTW, lol.) with my friend and hang out up there for a weekend. You guys planning on having any sort of New Years lock-in or something like that? That could be a swell idea.

They were probably trying to drum up more business, since Gardner does Galactic Bowling, and it's REALLY popular. It's like $12 or $15 an hour. I went once, it was cool, but it was mostly young teenagers. I liked their Blackout bowling better. 1st Saturday of every month. Get a strike with a colored head pin and win $1. Make a certain split and you get whatever it was worth on the sheet. 7-10 was worth $25 I think.

I had never even heard of Playaway Lanes before TGA bought them. I've been bowling in Gardner for 10 years, and no one had even mentioned a ten pin alley in Winchendon.

By the way, What's the Winchendon Mall?

That's the tennis court where all the ghetto kids (in Winchendon, lol) hang out (that's my understanding, at least)
