DDR Tourney in Honolulu for CASH $$$$ - Page 2

Well I think the 20$ scares away most people IMO. I mean for 500$ for a double elimination? I could probably play more with the 20 then go to a tourney have my butt served in two rounds or more.
If it was a SN2 beta... I'd be more then happy to go if I don't have work...

Yeah I know there is a video of Pump It Up on the main page. They couldn't find a DDR video FOR SOME REASON. Don't ask me why.

Um no. As the rules say, overall DP decides the winner of the 3 songs. Not just because you won two of 3. Your opponent could come back on the third if you suck at it.

The $20 is my main deterrent, so yeah. I entered a Brian's tournament or two because it was $5.

Granted, I can meet people (4 at the most so far), but yeah.

Oh, maybe I should have told the top-ranked DDR/ITG player in Louisiana to enter if he has the time since he's stationed here in the marines. I met him last night and his PIU skill is increasing at retarded levels for a first-timer. :/

why is that? only difference is new songs, new interface, new scoring. other than that, it's still tech.

The timing IMO is like a little bit different. I mean I play both EX and SN cuz FF MC is being weird. Its just a smiged different but on certain EX to SN songs the timing is blah. Some reason when I play some old songs I get thrown off a little bit. But thats my opinion. Lol my suggestion to adjust is just play it for like 30 min then it's adjustable.

Well first of all, i played super nova about 3 times total. And when I played the new songs, my PA was so horrible that I was scared that I lost my DDR skills, but when I played EX songs, it resulted well: Mahou no Tobira: < 5 greats, V(oni) < 25 greats, and Can't Stop Falling in Love < 15 greats. So I guess I'm still capable of playing this game. I'll probably sign up AT the place because I'll be hesitating whether to sign up or not.
Gotta get at least top 3 :p

OR YOU COULD SIGN UP RIGHT NOW. Seriously, they need more results. Just do it only plz. I totally understand the feeling of the timing being different. When I first played supernova I didn't get any AA's.

well, may i suggest to close sign-ups sooner so that you guys can determine whether u need a second machine? IMO i kinda hate when ppl sign up at the last minute.

I hope this tourney is a CRAZY one! =]

I know that I'm not the REAL old school crew, since I was still in elementary school during that time, but I went to a fair amount of tourneys and existed during the time of the "midnight madness" so I guess I'm an old school player too ;p (Not to mention the 4th+ machine and DDR max2 haha)
EXCEPT i'm not THAT old yet.

Although for the tourney...I'm probably going to sign up last minute just to make sure that there are a lot of people. =/
