Some bad news:

Apparently there was some sort of misunderstanding with the person i deal with.

We might not get Gold depending on what happens.

I'm trying to get EK to order one for Mililani....they did jump on Supernova when they found out it was a US release, so maybe they'll do the same for IIDX GOLD.

But fuck Pearls, they'll all break it, just like their BM:THE FINAL, drummania 9th, and DDR. Everything is broken there...

Everytime i try to play Drummania 9th, something is always broken.
The Final is actually decent now at least, but i remember when the 1st player side was broken for...ages.

I really suck at Beatmania. BIG time. But I love the game and play style to death. I can pass 4-6's. What do you guys suggest I do to get better? I think the way I use my fingers isn't the best way. Any suggestions besides "practice x3"?

Btw, I have Beatmania for PS2. I kno, not as good as the Japanese version but it's still practice. Should I marathon that for a few hours too?

nah no point in marathoning home version, unless your looking to improve your note reading skills.

But heres some of my own IIDX (or any other bemani) Philosophies that hopefully inspire you. (gg spelling)


1. If you wanna get better just come down to brians and play at the arcade.

2. Dont use autoscratch/5key for a starter.

3. IIDX is a game of pure dedication. No dedication, no improvement.
This game is a game that requires ALOT of dedication.

4. There is no shortcuts in this game. There is no fast paced way of learning or slow paced learning. IIDX Moves at your own pace, so dont rush it.

5. Everyone runs into walls, but just cause you run into a wall doesnt mean you cannot climb over it or break it down.
5b. One way to save your thinking is dont think about walls. If you do just pretented there invisible, takes a load of your mind.

6. It doesnt matter how you play, long as you can hit the keys no problem. So try not to copy others techniques, unless your looking for knowlage do improve your technique.

7. Have fun. IIDX is just a game.
