It's going to be filled with american pop songs to please the american public and the likes. They also love to change the nice interfaces to something horrid. So far, we have no reason to expect anything good out of them. Until they learn that we want basically what the Japanese players get, with maybe some few changes, most Bemani players will always look down upon it.
We are used to the originals. Not the screwed over american release.
If that's elitist, fine. But I prefer a decent version of a Bemani game.
Plus, I dislike guitar freaks.
Minus the US IIDX controller, this thing rawks my face.
WAKA WAKA | 1. A decent port of a bemani game is something RELATIVE!!! What's decent to you might not be decent to the next person. They're never going to please everyone. Like Broderick said, alot of people thought DDR Extreme 2 was really good. Not to mention, the Ultramixes sell well.
2. God you bitch about interfaces like it was HIV or something. Seriously, once you start the song, its the same as any japanese version!! BMUS had the same songwheel setup as every other IIDX release, as well as the same options menu... so what's the big fucking deal bitch?
3. The first new port of a bemani release is not going to be for the seasoned players. It's going to be intended to aclimate new players. Give it some time.
If you don't like GF that's fine, but just because you are predisposed to hating the series doesn't mean its going to suck for everyone else. Seriously, why don't you atleast give the game a chance for screen shots or something before you bash on it?

2. I hate ugly interfaces. No reason to change what already looks good. I wouldn't mind if they changed it and it looked like it WASN'T made in MSPaint. =X
3. I know that.
4. I never dissed the us guitar freaks. Ever. I don't need to see the screen shoots to know that I won't like it. I stated that I don't like guitar freaks. I was originally responding to the elitist comment. I could give a crap less about that game. I really don't care what it looks like, so I won't say anything about it. =p
5. I win because I'm never serious. =D

it takes time for a new system to get games I know, but almost 2 years? come on.. yea its got loads more power than DS and it can play movies :=0! No one gave a crap about UMDs as soon as they came out, Target is not going to be caring them anymore because they cant sell them. I can name on one hand the "good" games for PSP. Luminus and the soon the be realesed MGS ops.

GIVE ME A REASON TO BUY ONE | I stopped waiting for good PSP games after about a year. I was the same way. I really wanted one, but there really isn't enough on it to justify the price. At all. Like Broderick, you can count all the good PSP games on one hand.
And anything ORIGINAL? Something exclusive to the PSP. Ha. You might get two games if you're lucky.
On the other hand, my Nintendo DS collection is up to 11 and there's stuff out at the stores right now I still need to go and get, to say nothing of games scheduled for later release.
If you actually want fun games, there's no reason at all to get a PSP over a DS. =/

Boo to handhelds. =( | |

Honestly, if you want a PSP because of the non-game things you can do with it, I'd suggest looking at the GP2X or XGP GamePark handhelds instead. They're completely open handheld systems designed for emulators, homebrew games, and portable multimedia. No hacking, no exploits, no mod chips. They also output to TV.

more reason to get a DS. Its sad when the best thing about your system is emulating other games on it. Poor poor sony they should know that no one can beat Nintendo at handhelds
and here is some further proof for manny to get a DS:
Report from IGN
DS Tops PSP Twice
Nintendo's portable hardware takes top honors for first half of the year.
by Anoop Gantayat
July 6, 2006 - If you keep up with the Japanese game scene, you'll know how hot the DS is over in Nintendo's home territory. The DS is so hot, in fact, that it wasn't just the number one selling piece of gaming hardware for the first half of 2006, but number two as well!
Enterbrain, the publishing company behind the Famitsu magazines, has released sales stats for the first half of the year, covering 12/26/2005 to 6/25/2006. Three portable systems topped hardware sales for the period. DS Lite took the top spot, with the standard DS coming in second. Together, the two DS variations reached sales of 3.9 million units, far above the third place PSP, which managed 1 million.
Fueled by DS sales, game hardware sales topped 101.9 billion yen for the period, a 39.4% increase from the same period last year. Software and hardware together, the home console market topped 276.8 billion yen, 33.6% above the same period last year.
The DS hasn't slowed down one bit following the June 25 cutoff for inclusion in the Enterbrain report. With Nintendo aiming to hit the 10 million shipped mark in a couple of months, we expect the report for the second half of 2006 to be just as positive.

Just opinions on games.
Somebody likes the games they have for psp, hence the sales.
I just wonder who?
Laptop > handhelds =D | |

Or could I get better? I'd get something from cyberpowerinc but my payments from my bank would be to much i could handle.
