Sooooo... apparently P'tree Cinemas 8 is supposed to get a SuperNova machine soon and there's a chance they might downgrade their EX to a 4th+ because they apparently still have it.

I think if we bug Ptree enough to let them know that the machine will pay for itself, we can convince them to get a IIDX machine. Hopefully a RED or something.
I definately can't wait for the SuperNOVA machine, though. One of the employees was so happy about it, he told me twice.

Someone help me in the conquest of getting IIDX.

According to him, they have a SuperNova on order, but it's not expected in for another few months. (Ouch.) They plan to keep the Extreme, and I've heard no mention of downgrading it, so I think that's an "ain't-gonna-happen" scenario.

Marketplace Rating: 56 | Gah. If they don't at least consider downgrading to 4th+ once they get SuperNova (which is almost practically Ex+), they are really dumb.
We'll just need to buy the upgrade kit off of them and get somewhere else to take it (like that Maxx place in Union City with the 1st Mix).

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I've got a question... why doesn't Tech-Rec have IIDX? They seem to have the best DDR machenes in GA (or at least within Marta range) but they don't have IIDX. It just doesn't make sense.
Also, is the forth comming SuperNova within Marta's range? I really hope so since I/m completely carless. Completely.

Like another person said about getting IIDX at another arcade it would pay for itself if only for the fact that it would be the only one that would stay in working order, the only reachable through Marta, and one of the only ones in GA. Compared to a new DDR machine how much is a IIDX machine? If getting a DistorteD would nean having to forgo a DDR:SN then by all means I think they should pick up a DistorteD.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | A new IIDX machine would cost around $6,000 (depends on the mix), if I'm correct. However, with around four hardcore players spending around $20 a week on it, then that's a nice $400 a month, which means it'd pay for itself in no time. Not to mention that many people would glady come from out of town just to play it (that's what some people do for the IIDX machine here in Augusta, well, when it's not broken, that is).
Maybe you should have a discussion with the arcade's manager about it.

$6000 is a bit low. From what i've seen, $6000 will get you a 3rd / 4th / 5th style machine. After that, the price starts to increase sharply. 6th-8th mix are about 7-9 grand. It looks like Channelbeat has a 9th style up for $12500. If memory serves, RED / HS / DD go for 15 to 18 grand.
