Drummania is back up and working beautifully. BMIII is still waiting for a new monitor.

TY, then just update whenever the BMIII machine is up. It's literally THE selling point to me to go to Nexus. WAY above IIDX and pop'n

Newbie here to discuss the Nexus. I stumbled upon this place back on Sunday night and have been back three more times since. At first, I was in love with that beast of a beatmania machine with the gigantic screen. Then I gave Pop'n Music a twirl, a game I've never played before, and Jesus Christ is that addictive. I've gotten three of my friends hooked and we'll be returning often.

I was there last night and was relieved to see the Drummania machine finally working. The sticks were attached to a cord that had metal pieces on it that would flip up and slam on your knuckles as you play, causing major discomfort. The guy behind the desk that night, Mark, was kind enough to bring over some unchained drumsticks that really made the game much more enjoyable.

But sadly, the machine started to constantly reset and it was deactivated yet again. Poo. =( The other downside is that I am now interested in Rock Band's drum gameplay and I seriously don't want to drop $170 on that when there are so many other games coming out this holiday season.

As for that other beatmania machine, it's still down as well. Steam, in all their brilliance, decided to send out an update at 8pm on Friday night, really messing up their LAN situation, but the boys were trying hard. I can see this place really drawing a crowd and I do know they're looking to bring in things like anime-related foods and drinks. They already have BAWLS for $2 a bottle.

I dropped by today and it was back up, but as Dark mentioned, a few of the instruments were quite picky... not good for a beginner like me.

Please let them know that they should look into fixing that. When I go, Drummania is what I'm looking forward to playing the most and I want it working properly. :P

Dont expect them to fix it. I see them getting Guitar Hero AC before they get a working DM

The machine is sexy as fuck, but if you're at least a 7k player you're going to want to kill the lag by the end of the day.

WTF is wrong with them. screen burn-in, horrible lag, shorter lifespans. they could not have chosen any worse for a game that requires as precise timing as that. CRT'S STILL EXIST DAMNIT.

i am going to want a serious word with their technicians.

Are you serious? Do you think we built this cabinet from scratch and thought about what monitor we could put in it that would piss you guys off the most? It came from Japan with that monitor and we've been looking into fixing the issue. Your time spent bitching would be better spent finding a solution because I've said it before that if anyone actually has suggestions I'd be more than happy to explore them. And don't say "go out and buy a CRT" because it won't work and it has to be a Konami official monitor, which our plasma is.

So if you want something changed or done differently, how about some constructive feedback instead of being ignorant and preachy.
