Ok, so I've been browsing here and since of last night I might be moving to Florida in 2 years to attend Full Sail which is a game design and animation college with a friend. Full Sail is located in a city above Orlando which isn't really far at all, and i'm just seeing what arcade's are around.

Rocky's Replay (http://www.ddrfreak.com/locations/lo...locationID=308)
is about 5 miles down the road from Full Sail. If you don't mind the smoke, it's an alright place to go, and fairly close to the school. The other Arcade I liked going to when I lived in Orlando was Magical Midway, but that's about 25min away from Full Sail (Full Sail being in NE "Orlando" (Winter Park), and Magical Midway being in SW Orlando).

When I lived up in Orlando last year, there was always a ton of traffic around Full Sail (it's on a fairly busy street that also connects to an even busier street), and I doubt that's changed since then. Maybe other people could fill you in more about the traffic.

If you're moving there in two years though, why are you curious about the arcades right now?

Just getting hyped up pretty much. It's exciting. We we're also gonna drive down one day and see what's around and how we can get apartments down there.

Well, WAS an alright place to go until they got rid of their Complete Mix 2 machine. If you like IIDX at all, you'll be sorely disappointed with the arcades there, since despite all the Japanese tourists Orlando gets that would probably love to play a game or two while they have some free time, no one seems to think they'd make any money off a machine. At least there's a HS in Clearwater.

Yeah...Tampa got their beatmania Complete MIX 2, and it broke within the first week we had it.

Well, Rocky's had it for a LONG time beforehand (since 2002), and BMI coin-ops are even more fragile than IIDX machines!

orlando blows ever since pac-man shut down. ddr is pretty expensive around here too. it's on average 1.50. cheapest i saw in orlando is 1.00 at funspot. cheapest i ever saw in my life was .50 at tilit in rhode island, but it was running a pirated 8th mix on a ddrmax machine

I'll be moving to orlando in january for 2 years to attend UCF. Think of all the fun things! I say to myself.
I remember going to XS or whatever it's called. I don't know the story on that place as of current.

XS used to be good, but then Namco bought it and made it Pac-Man Cafe, which was then bought out and closed down.

if you're going to be living in the ucf area, you dont have a problem with finding arcades or lan cafe's. you can go to rockys, and there's a handful of lan centers run by assholes.

UCF has two SuperNova machines in the Student Union. We've got one that's beat up (P1 pad is garbage, P2 is still okay), and one that's a little over a month old where the pads are awesome. It's pretty obvious which one is which with a quick glance. :P

I'm hoping they ditch the old machine and bring in.. anything that isn't another supernova. Kind of silly to have two of the exact same machine right next to each other if you ask me.

I'm there a LOT. I play way too much BeforU (and Kiss Me All Night Long >_>) and go by Sherbert. I'll be there later today playing PEACE(^^)v until my head falls off. :P

Forgot to mention that it's only 50 cents for 3 songs. :O

Stick to UCF. There is really no need to goto Rocky's anymore. The pads there are just horrible. There was talk of them getting some Happy Sky but I believe that all fell through.
