Marketplace Rating: 0 | 4000 Dollar DDR Setup Cobalt Flux® Pulse™ Dance System
An arcade style setup meant for commercial use. The price tag is ridiculous, and I would never bother purchasing it, but if it were possible to get just the base with the bar attached (so you could just place your Flux in it), it'd be fantastic. It's certainly the best bar setup I've ever seen on the market. I can't stand the Blue Shark's wobbly bar.
I love the photo of the girl jumping unnecessarily high on the title screen.

ITS OVER FOUR THOUSANDDDDDD!!!
Ps: Premier Traveling Dance Systemâ„¢ with 46" LCD Monitor - why dont you just buy a proper ARC or 3 for this price. The practise pads dont even plug in to anything.
Ok. that site is a total ripoff. $900US for a cobult flux? o_o http://images.gophersport.com/files/...EMG_1836_p.jpg - i lol'd.

Did you check this one out? GeoMotion® Fitness and Dance Sets
Its 12 mats with arrows and some instructions. They are not connected to anything or do anything. Only 1,000 dollars.

That price is plain nuts, I could never consider buying something like that, especially on my pretty limited budget at the moment. I'd just buy a couple Bluesharks or something, and hope for the best with the bars. Quote:

Not knocking on how DDR isn't truly dancing or anything, but I can't find a purpose for it. Other than the money of course. =\

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Well, yeah, it's a total ripoff, but I said that in my post. I just wish I could get a bar and base that good. The setup probably costs, taking into account mat, TV, PS2, games, etc about 1000 dollars. So they're making about three times what it costs in profit. It's beyond ludicrous for anyone to pay for it, but since it's for commercial use, I'm sure some ill informed school gym teacher would. Quote:

However, it would be easy to customize with a good bar in that setup. I just hated using the flimsy thing at my friend's house. Quote:

This way they get a full workout rather than doing one song every twenty minutes and only surfacing the class with two short bursts of exercise. It's for youth centers, gym classes and the like.
It's just illogical because the screen isn't big enough to read several rows back.

Yeah, i have to admit it is true that they are flimsy. I reccomended my friend a blueshark and he's scared of using the bar, I'm not sure to tell him what to do with the thing honestly. The thing was pretty wobbly when i tried it out. But hey, I can always get a tall chair and a no-bar model when my CF is ready to retire.
Also, I guess I didn't read the actual purpose of the "practice mats". I thought it was for some weird-ass dance aerobic style thing, only kind of like DDR. I can see the youth centre situation there, but I still would find that really awkward.

The CF is the commercial grade one, it's made with a special base and is meant to withstand daily use by multiple people. All of them come with somewhere between a 1-4 year warranty. On CF's site you can click the bottom link on North America and it will take you to the commercial page. I kind of wish I could buy a commercial pad because some of them look awesome, but I don't think I'd be willing to plop down that kind of cash.
Me and my friend are going to take pics like that on his Blue Shark. lol Post in a few days. Quote:

It would fill the empty spaces and leave the bar with no room to wobble. Of course, this would eliminate much chance of moving the pad out of the room without digging out the putty, though. But still, it would be a good solution. Either that or welding. Maybe placing sheetmetal wrapped around the bar into the holes.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | There's no way I'd drop 4000 dollars for anything dance related, lol. Not unless I was some kind of millionaire. Plus I don't know if my setup could accommodate an arcade machine or even a tall mat (Blue Shark might not work out too well with simultaneous) because I'm 6'2" playing in a low ceilinged basement.
EDIT: Anyone ever consider that maybe she's jumping on the title screen because she's angry that some dumbass spent 4000 dollars on that thing?
