It depends on how you play. I tend to step slightly late myself, so some songs seem on to me that don't seem on to others, and vice versa. Things that are generally accepted to be completely fubared, however:

Hyper Eurobeat: Early
D2R: Late
Miracle Moon: Late after stop, gets later
My Summer Love (Tommy's Smile Mix): Gets later and later throughout the song due to incorrect BPM
Paranoia MAX ~Dirty Mix~/Across the Nightmare/The least 100 sec/Mikeneko Rock: changes all over the place
Vanity Angel: Gets very early after the gallops near the end of the song
Stoic: Very early after the stop

These are all from extreme; I don't know how much may have been fixed/broken worse in SN/SN2.

Also, a lot of times when people say a chart is "off-sync" they actually mean that the chart is written incorrectly. For example, Healing-D-Vision SHOULD be in swing time (12th notes instead of 8ths/16ths) but it is not.

Also, prior to SN2, there was a programming error that would cause 12th and 24th notes (used in Bag, Heaven is a '57, Burning Heat, etc) to be "rounded off" to the nearest 32nd note. On faster songs like Burning Heat and Heaven is a '57 is isn't TOO huge of an adjustment (only a few milliseconds, so not enough to kick you out of the perfect window) but the adjustments on Bag are what cause it to be so hard to AAA.

Stoic Pisses me the fuck off. I can AAA that song consistantly.......Untill the last 10 seconds where I get 24 greats in a row.
Miracle Moon and My summer love Tommy Smile Mix I never noticed, but I also very rarely play those songs.
I never noticed Paranoia Max, and I can do fairly well on that song.
This may be an internet thing, but we always called hyper Eurobeat Hyper Off-beat.
Across the nightmare has a stupid as hell chart that randomly puts arrows to nothing and there not consistant at all espcecially starting at the middle of the song.
Isnt NGO all overthe place as well?

the timing windows themselves are only slightly different if they were changed at all

the syncing on SN1 does leave something to be desired, though

agreed.

And now that you mention it, ranatatatalus, it makes sense to me why i do so terrible on least 100 sec. I'm wondering is SN2 changes that.

I doubt Stoic has or ever will be fixed.

Theres an extreme machine about 45 minutes north of me that I go to once in a while. I have NO problem AAA'ing 9's and AA'ing 10's but when I play on the Supernova that is 10 minutes away from me, I get double-triple the greats >:|

If I wanted to play some retarded chart only beacuse nobody has passed it I would go to play Bee Another Nightmare on Pump it up.
If I wanted to play Xepher in general I would stop and realize "oh wait its Xepher" then kill myself.

Extreme > Supernova IMO always. I can never get more greats than perfects on Extreme but vice versa with Supernova.

stepping heavily does not at all damage the sensors. at worst it could knock a bracket loose but if your arcade does anything resembling normal maintainence this is not a big issue

yup, i think it doesn't, i believe the dirt that gets stucked on the pads causes some of those pads to response off-sync. when we feel that the pads are a little off-sync we immediately tell the techs and let them clean the pads. after some 10 kgs of dirt vacuumed the pads work and respond just like new, sensitivity at its finest...
