arcadve v. home game difficulties

I find that when I go to the arcade the difficulty is higher than the one set of the home game. Stepmania is set on a 4 difficulty, but Im playing on 6 to try to train myself for the arcade. Does anyone know what the difficulty standards are?

Here's a pretty universal philosophy that everybody can agree upon:

Almost all arcade owners are greedy.

Almost all arcade owners will do everything to get a fast cash flow.

Thus, those same arcade owners will set everything to their highest difficulty.

Players must always assume that the games are set to the highest difficulty and must adjust their playing habits.

At home, you can always just set DDR to the highest difficulty. And if you have a cheating device, you practically get the same experience by adjusting the timing windows to be arcade accurate.

I believe this is all there is to say and I can lock the thread right now unless someone can say something otherwise.

DDRFreka forum faq says that judgement must be 5 or 6, because machine timing lies somewhere between those numbers. I alos recommned to set progressive lifebar = 1. Forgot to say, I use 5th, sometimes(rarerly) 6th judgement.
With event mode on it makes each track hard as something between 2nd and 3rd track on machine. (I left lifebar difficulty=4)
You may try to find Extreme timing window settings somewhee on DDRFreak forum, but many players dislike them.
