Default Building a Bar at Home...?

I'm in a bit of a bind. When I play on my pad at home, there's no sturdy furniture I can move to use as a bar, and the only chairs we have are either office chairs or wicker (very bad idea on 10-footers). Has anyone successfully built a bar or bar-type apparatus for your home pad, and if so, would you mind sharing how you did it?

Yeah I want to know too. Using a bed that is 12 inches shorter than an arcade bar does not really suffice well. I need to wait until my parents let me order online so i can get a MyMyBox Blueshark pad w/bar. All I have is an ignition right now. So, anyone know how to fasion pipes or something into a bar?

I get an iron rod. (those really thick ones,) and bend them so they make the exact shape of the bars at the arcade, and them I nail them on the floor where my dance pad is. Only did it once and it's a very bad idea, especially when you're still living with your parents.

Try using one of them double step ladder type things that have a handle on top. Seems to work quite well unless you're full raping the bar and force it back.

Try making, or finding someone willing to make a bar and attachement to your pad out of welded metal or PVC pipe. If you make PVC pipe, its better to make legs coming out of the back for more support so the thing doesnt snap.

Some pads without bars, like the Cobalt Flux are easy to work with this way, all you need to do is build a wooden base around it and have room to make a bar in the back.

Or you could just get a pad that comes with a bar =P

I'm playing on a metal pad right now. I hope to upgrade said pad into a Cobalt Flux within a month or two.

"Ikea: It's not just for sitting anymore."

(insert random fool running around playing FAXX)
(random fool grabs a towel and sits down on the chair he was just bar-raping)

i dont recomend a PVC pipe as a bar (especially if youre heavy), i know this guy and he said that his friend broke his back because the bar snapped on him and he fell on his back, ouch

He musn't had anything to support it from behind. I can't see him actually breaking a thick piece of PVC without purposely trying to. It's strong stuff, I mean it can even handle small explosions (potato guns ftw) fairly well.

If you're planning on getting a new pad in a month or two anyways, why not just get one with a bar attached? It'll save you time and... well time. Other than that, I would actually like to know how to get a homeade bar setup, since i have no plans of getting a new pad in the near future. My TX4000 is against a wall, so i can use that, but it's not the same a s a bar../
