Default buying blueshark in Australia

Hey guys ive been playing DDR now for 4 years (like 6 on and off) and i think its time for a Metal home pad now the only problem is i live in Australia and you cant get one sent over cause of the weight. What is the best pad to get if you live in Australia and where to get it form.

Now i guess if somon in Australia had a blueshark and is willing to sell it i would certainly be willing to buy it from you (and pay for the shipping)

does anyone know where is the best place to buy steel pads in Australia?

I live in Australia and I've purchased 1" hard foam pads, but they all had to come from the US. The postage costs just as much as the pads, but there was simply no alternative. That's pretty much a good estimate for shipping - just double the cost of the pad.

I did some research a year ago, and I believe you can get some metal pads sent over (from Asia, etc) for about $250-$300 AUD each. I think they were of the TX-1001 variety, not the CF or Blueshark.

Don't buy a TX-1001 even if it's all thats available. Cobalt Flux has a Europe division now, they might ship to Australia (though I wouldn't know for sure).
Here's a Flux on eBay and ships to Australia:
eBay: Cobalt Flux DDR Dance Dance Revolution Platform Pad Mat (item 170125612964 end time Jun-30-07 20:34:04 PDT)
Cobalt Flux is apparently also shipping to Africa, Middle East and Asia right now, so maybe they would ship to Australia.

If you had your heart set on a Blue Shark, though, chances are it would require eBay. MyMyBox only does ground from what I hear, which means USA and Canada only. I don't see how anyone would have had one in Australia unless they managed to get one off eBay or a smaller site.

i was going to ask the same question, but lucky i did some searching before.

Is there any other way to get a good metal ddr mat for like a cheap price? cheap as in like not paying 300 dollars for shipping. (i dont mind if the metal mat is like 300, but shipping for 300.. is quite ..... a lot)

i looked into the tx-series but im not sure if they are good or not?

should i just buy a hard foam pad?

thanks

if you're in the upper tiers of heavy, a foam pad is going to be useless to you.

honestly, your best bet would be to search online for instructions on how to build your own hard pads and go with one of them (a google search for "ddr home pad modding" turns up tons of results)
