I am considering purchasing a DDR Solo machine (making an offer on the one on ebay). I am extremely familiar with beatmania/pop'n music machines, but I have never bought a DDR machine.
What should I look for in the machine (beyond other arcade games)..
I.e. sensors, etc.
Also can the sensors be replaced (as in a regular DDR machine)? Where does one get the sensors?
Thanks!
Also, what is a reasonable amount to pay for a solo machine?

Here is the core remix he is looking at Beatmania Core-Remix Arcade Game - eBay (item 280270456292 end time Aug-19-09 14:25:35 PDT)
I am specifically looking for information on the pad...

BTW solo 4th mix plus FTW!

Great Mix though.

solo machines and doubles machines use the same sensors. solo machines use two per arrow rather than four, though. if you don't mind some splicing, you can even use pump sensors with ddr machines. they're the same thing as well, but they use a different connector.
keep in mind that if you want to run most mixes, you'll need to buy a 32mb flash card. solo 2000 uses no flash card. | |

However if it were me, I would totally still snag a Solo machine if I could get one for a good price, and just throw 4th Mix Plus on it.

Honestly just leave Solo 2000 in there unless you can interchange it with a 2P Mix board that has all the hacking done for you.

they don't work very well though since you end up with 1 sensor per arrow

I know you can tinker your way to get a 4th+ double into a Solo, but it would miss out on all the Solo functionality.
