buying a Dance Mat

Ok I'm moving out, into my own place and all, and I'm living upstairs, but when I do DDR and I jump it makes probably to much noise, so I talked to my mom about this, and she said that I could get one of those DDR Arcade mats, but the thing is, I don't know what is a good ddr mat from the arcades, I want a bar and with the steps dont break. Does anyone know a good arcade mat that is worth it.

The first thing you should note is that a metal pad will make considerably MORE noise.

well its all about the jumping, when I jump in the new place that I'm moving too its really loud for the people below, if I got a metal pad they won't hear my jumping around, since the mat will absorb my jumps

No, the metal pads generally do not do any sort of noise absorbing, they just rattle the hell out of everything. You might be able to put some sort of softer rubber or some other padding underneath a pad, but just the metal pad is going to be loud. I assure you.

I thought the metal pad absorbs the jumping, so the people down below won't hear me when I jump.

Maybe you should buy a soft pad with foam inserted if you are worried about the noise problem. Metal pads are only louder and to add, some can be expensive.
