Some people are selling cards in the Marketplace but unless the title screen says Insert Card or something, or unless you're actually in Japan or the arcade owners are Japanese/have connections with Konami, it won't work.

Also can we get some pictures?

Well, I did hear of a story similar to that.
Local game players in my country said that their SN 2 machine (Asian version) is not connected to any actual online network. Yet the surprising thing was, instead of the text at the bottom of the screen saying "rokaru modo/LOCAL MODE", the text stated that its status is "offulinu/OFFLINE".
Interestingly, from one of the testimonies from the players playing on that unit, it said that after pressing the start button, it leads to a menu where it actually asks players if they an e-amusement card. Theories then exist regarding that lead to the possibility that the use of the card in that connection mode allows for your name entry to be inputted per song (somewhat like in SN 1 although you didn't e-amusement or a card system for that).
Anyways, that's what I've heard from reports coming from the players using that machine. Of course, these are still theories at this point and I cannot confirm them but I will do my best to find time and see if this true or not.
NOTE:
Oh and for players who are living in the Philippines, this is the SN 2 machine which is located in a Quantum Amusement Center in SM North Edsa shopping center.
