Play them on stepmania, over and over (with assist tick on).
Drink lots of water b4 attempting.
Use the bar (optional).
Use Solo and 1.5x (optional)
End.

i got okay at ITG (i could pass some 10s), and went back to DDR and was able to pass every 10 no problem, except for PSMO. i kept playing, and now i could do any given 10 footer as a warm-up no problem.

Marketplace Rating: 4 | Yeah, ITG has a lot more songs to bridge from easier to harder songs. Eventually, you'll be able to pass some of the harder things in that game and come back to DDR and most 10 footers shouldn't be a pain. I'd just make sure to drink tons of water too, and maybe have a fan or something in the room you're playing in.

I made my own "10 breakthrough" with Tribal Style (a gallopy stamina-sucker like So Deep) and soon followed it up with Bend Your Mind, Hand of Time, and some others. When I came back to DDR, I was startled to find that some of the easier 10s were now within my reach, and after much practice I even passed Max 300 no-bar. For an unathletic 38-year-old female, that's no small accomplishment.
Having water on hand is important. Take a sip after every song; don't let yourself get dehydrated. Warm up with a few non-murderous songs. After you're good and ready, play at least a few songs in every session that are just at the edge of your ability to build up your stamina and skill, and play more manageable ones in between those so you don't completely exhaust yourself too quickly. Finally, training mode is your friend. Getting to know a song by playing it in slow-mo with the handclap on will teach you what the steps correspond to, so you don't waste precious energy struggling with the rhythm when you're playing it for real.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | try In The Groove, there are songs on there that go past 10, and go to 13, after playing In The Groove, you stamina will be extremely high like mine, and you will be able to hit arrows harder for a longer amount of time, get through streams almost perfectly, and pass DDR 10s with almost no problem.
also try putting weights on you legs and play some easy heavy songs, you legs will become stronger, and that sometimes helps.
hanging onto the bar helps ALOT, it takes the weight of your legs, I can almost Gaurentee you, you will NOT ba able to pass and 11 on ITG, or Fascination Maxx without using the bar.
also STAY HYDARTED.
and sometimes playing stepmania helps you read the arrows a bit better, but you should play 300 BPM songs on x1.5, it helps a bit.

I think you are very likely to pull a muscle if you do that.
In any case, if you can, make edits on songs that will help you practice things you have trouble with. e.g. If you can't do gallops, then make an edit with lots of gallops. Keep in mind that the edits don't necessarily go with the music. If the do, then it's that much better, but choosing a song with a good BPM is important, especially since the console DDR's dont let you speed up songs.
one more thing. don't be shy to using the practice mode(or whatever it's called) to slow the songs down. This will help you learn the patterns so that you only have to work on speed.

Once you pass it at the slower paces, gradually go to the next until you can pass that. Then the next, then the next, until you can do it at normal speed. But on the newer mixes, when you slow down the speed of the song, the song goes away. Ugh, so fucking primitive and annoying. I really wish they would bring this feature back. Last time they didn't have music when the song was slowed down was on 2nd Remix.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I have been trying to bridge the gap between level 9s and level 10s in DDR for some time now. Usually, what happens is I'll get in a sort of DDR addiction for a week and a half and practice like mad, but will still not pass those 10s, and then stop for a while (a month) and then come back to it.
To date, I've only passed three 10-footers, and I'm sure they don't really count as "actual" 10 foot songs:
Sakura
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (US PS1 version)
Paranoia Survivor (US Extreme 2)
Paranoia Survivor I only passed once and I have yet to be able to replicate it.
ITG has made me better stamina-wise, but I just can't seem to pass any 10-footers.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | my advice for practicing those aneurysm-inducing 10 footers:
try doing some songs with a speed modifyer, just so u get used to reading notes that go stupidly fast, a common trait among most 10-füts.
if u have difficulty with this, just take a 10 u want to pass, get used to any BPM changes that may occur by actually listening to a recording/ reading stepcharts, and try to relax. People get their buts kicked in hard songs because they can't stay relaxed and focused enuff to know wtf is going on at teh moment
