DDR Backgrounds Influencing Sight?

Default DDR Backgrounds Influencing Sight?

I noticed that some backgrounds in certain songs can make arrows sseem invisible and completely destroys my combos. Certain examples are the moving-up, green, skeleton-head graphic in Paranoia Eternal and the blue background of Higher.

What songs make it hard to read arrows for you?

The newer BG movies EX2+ are for the most part ok for me, but the random animations were what got me... Also, some of the character stages make them really hard to read...

I know how you feel on paranoia, it was horrible. Lets see one I had trouble with today was Twinbee Generation. It destroyed my combos, and being tired, I did not catch myself in time.

i've never had a problem with anything except some of the backgrounds in DDRMAX2 arcade; specifically Drifting Away and Stay. even then, i can still PFC my way through the parts where the arrows blend in. it's just slightly harder.

nothing on Extreme/SuperNOVA/2 bothers me at all

I started playing more DDR lately and the stages in SN1 and SN2 sometimes matches the color of the arrows. I occasionally don't realize there is an arrow until it's half an inch away from the stationary arrows.

Playing on note/solo solves this problem.

I have to agree about the stupid graffiti-skeleton head. Songs like Captain Jack, PARANOiA Eternal, and Rhythm & Police are a nuisance to play because of it.

Interestingly enough, that BG video scrolls up at 340 BPM. If you play R&P on 2x, the arrows will travel with the background. I think that applies to Captain Jack as well?

Any song in SN1 and 2 with the red bg and Note mode is not recommended. It sucks that this background is unavoidable in the Arcade version, but is resolvable in the PS2 ver. Which stage number in SN1 PS2 uses red in the backgrounds?

Super-Max-Me on Note really sucks. Near the beginning (after the first speed up if I remember correctly) the background turns orange and red and the arrows sorta blend in. Plus there's LOADS of arrows coming up so I can't help but get a ton of greats =/
