Default DDR EXTREME JP from Toys N Joys

Has anyone ever purcahased any DDR game (or ANY IMPORT GAME for that matter) from Toys N Joys.com

A place that specializes in import games near me tried to order EXTREME JP for me about a month ago, and they FINALLY call me today telling me that they couldn't get because its out of print.

So...

Toys N Joys is a horrible place to buy from. Tons of horror stories about them not sending products, or telling people 2 months later that they're out of stock, selling used products as new, etc.

Go elsewhere.

I've bought from there, but Extreme JP was still in print at that point.

It took like a little over a week to get here.

I got my official Konami Guitar Freaks controller from them so I would recommend them only if you are looking for a rare item that doesn't get too many sales.

TnJ is OK. I visit their store when I'm in Honolulu. VERY cool place. Their mail order handling is hit or miss. I'm lucky enough to haven't had any issues buying from them 4 times via mail, but I've had friends who had issues. Most stuff comes in about a week and change (when it's in stock).

Hit or miss???

Thats not very reassuring....

Well, if their main store is in Hawaii, and I'm in California. Do you all think that might lesson my chance of having anything go wrong?

Honestly, if you're looking for a copy of Extreme JP - go to Play-Asia or Himeya.

Or even eBay, actually.

Play-asia hasn't EXTREME in stick since God only knows when, and the last time I saw EXTREME on ebay (about a month ago) it was $100.00 exactly.

I think I'd rather pay th 70.00 =P.

And going by the response I'm getting, I would love to buy from Play-asia, but like I said, They havn't had EXTREME in stock for a looooooong time.

Ask in the forums marketplace, theres people selling them every so often. That 100 dollars on eBay is horseshit, who'd pay that?

For Sale: IIDX, Popn, DDR :D

He's selling one, PM him.

It's no longer available on Himeya, either.

I would recommend just buying it from someone on Bemanistyle - post a WTB thread in the Marketplace.

If you do try the Toys'n'Joys route, let us know how it goes. I may have to do that for a couple of games because of poor planning on my part.

Edit: OK, Hio is more on the ball than I am. Do what he says.

Shit. I thought it was still available at PA. Shows how much I pay attention. Sorry Makoto.

Suffice it to say, if you order it now, you just might get it in time for Christmas 2008. If you're lucky. If you're not, you'll get the wrong item, spend hours arguing with their customer "service" reps, and end up short about 60 bucks. More if they pull their "150+% markup" stunt again. (3980 yen != $100 USD.)

If you want to order from TnJ, you may as well save yourself some trouble and flush your money down the toilet. Don't buy from them. Ever. They're the worst excuse of an online importer I have ever heard of.

I got DDRMAX JP from there. I waited about a week and it came, great condition, and the only problem was the length it took to get to my house. I live in California as well.

If you want to chance it like I did, go ahead. I had good results. I remember buying JP Max 2 and Extreme(and I think party) from NCSX. I wonder if they still have any copies.
