Default Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME plus?

so i went on vacation to myrtle beach south carolina

i checked out a few arcades that are conveniently place five buildings away from eachother

but i went in one
they had a few good things in there
2 supernova machines
extreme machines
and then extreme plus

the whole cabinet had a different look on it
like the extreme 2 ultramix 3 and 4 girl
you know the girl on the cover of the game?
she was on there
brown bikini top
and it said dance dance revolution extreme plus

i started it up
and what i found that could be good or bad

all the songs are sped up 20%

they all sound faster
and i could only think of one song to play first
be lovin

that was hard as fizzuck

has anyone else seen this machine?

Ive seen DDR megamix. But the option to speed up the rate is well optional.

You have encountered one of those crazy bootleg upgrade kits, or some whack up stuff like that. I saw one in my favorite arcade a while ago, it was an abomination. Players and I immediately wanted the marquee off and the regular Extreme back. Extreme Plus is not by Konami either, who knows where it came from!

For the record, you do NOT have to press Enter after typing in a few words.

And we're all well-informed about the bootleg games.

ya, extreme plus is a bootleg upgrade kit. Sometimes arcade owners will think EXTREME Plus is the latest version because it says "Plus" at the end. You can buy it on channelbeat (which is the only place I found that actualy has the upgrade), but then again why would you?

There was also one other bootleg game besides EXTREME Plus and Megamix. it was called KING, and I think it was an entire machine, running one of the early mixes, but the dance pads were painted Gold (this is what i read somewhere point me out if I am wrong).

wow that sounds fun, haha the only ddr machine that I see around my hometown is DDR Supernova, that's it, we don't see many players play it though.

Yeah, those have been around almost as long as EXTREME itself.

I can't remember if they still have the one in West Edmonton Mall, but I could always hear the sped-up rates even on the demo screens. Pretty screwed up. It also had the very same marquee.

Actually, there are two bootleg versions:

Dance Dance Revolution Megamix (yes, not Dancing Stage)
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme Plus!

DDR EX Plus! increases the song tempo by 20%. This damages the machine's internal CPU. (Taken from Wikipedia.org)

I also remember seeing an image of the warning screen in Megamix. It said "DONT FALL OFF" (yeah, without the apostrophe).

Beatdowns and Breakdowns, does DDR Extreme Plus! look like this?
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme Plus shit

Focus on pictures from DSCF0788 to DSCF0808. Just ignore the rest of them.

as far as I remember, extreme plus allowed you to choose if you wanted it sped up or not. If you choose standard or lower as the difficulty the "WATCH OUT FOR FREEZE ARROWS" turns in to a "Choose Speed" box, where center was normal, right was speed up or something like that.
