So... why not? | |

And knowing Konami, it does mean more BS.

So... why not? | Of course 5th mix's maximum was 9, but because Max 300 was harder than all the 9s, they HAD to introduce the 10. Besides, the real maximum was 8, DDR just had to introduce a 9. If they need to, just make flashing 10s for the somgs harder than the usual 10s. I think DDR wants to keep the 1-10 rating system because... well... it's 1-10. Usual rating system for reviews and scores and stuff. That or 1-50 or 1-100.

Technically, most of the new 10-footers were harder than the 10-footers from previous games. It would have made a lot of sense for them to use a higher rating for the new 10s, but they didn't. Now there are clueless people out there who think that PSMO is harder than HDVO, and that Max 300 will kill them because FELM is unplayable for them.

I really don't think a change is necessary, since it's not like a butt ton of the new songs are going to be 10-10+ anyway due to Konami being Konami.

It's just not technically RIGHT.

10 is their way of saying these songs are very hard and you would need a lot of practice to pass them. Then there's the groove radar and the BPM meter that hints you on how much practice you might need to handle what it's possibly going to throw at you.
