Default DDR SuperNOVA 2 CS: Yeah, it's announced

If you took a look on the main page, DDR SuperNOVA 2 is coming to the PS2...already.

Some quick little info:

*All new arcade release of the DDR series for North America also hits the PS2.
*Brand new songs, game modes and fully adaptable to newbies and pros!
*Online multiplayer & Eyetoy USB camera support for PS2.
*Popular work out mode, Battle Mode, Turorial Mode, Edit Mode and more.

Alright, let the discussion begin.

<Wishful thinking> Wouldn't it be great if it just went back to the old unlocking songs method where you just play songs and courses, and then "Hey check it out, a new song!"</Wishful Thinking>

Wouldn't it be great if they completely ignored American pop music and used more Dancemania tracks?

Dancemania has a TON of American pop. And I want them, I want them all.

Info from JohnnyDynamiteUSA states:
"*All new arcade release of the DDR series for North America also hits the PS2."

Yup, I think that pretty much confirms it.......
SO WHERE THE HELL IS OUR GAME INFO!!! .

Well, Sexy, some argue that the new method of unlocking songs through DMM/SMM is easier than the old method. Though I'd have to say I'd agree with you- I'd love to see them bring back the old unlock method or better yet, possibly make songs available through BOTH methods somehow.

Oh, and to RADIORAMA, RevenG, and FFR4EVA_00...
I too would love to see all the popular Dancemania licenses appear, but, if anything we're probably more likely to see the old SuperNOVA 1 licenses if anything (which isn't a bad thing, but I know many peopel would prefer new content)

Is it me, or Konami is rushing a little bit? I mean, DDR SuperNOVA 2 AC hasn't been released in America and they're already announcing the CS version? Not that I'm complaining, but anyway... And, yeah I'm also expecting some IIDX music like: SPARK!, Why did you go away?, Vanessa... Please Konami, choose good music and don't mess up!

I remember Konami announced "super popular songs" for SuperNOVA 2, so there's hope for "Sexyback" and "Faster Kill Pussycat".

Alright, let the discussion begin.
Given the KoJ's tradition of fucking American players in the ass, I am confident to declare the following:

--It won't be arcade-faithful. Expect at least only one established Dancemania song from SN2 AC to appear in USCS. Otherwise, expect the rest to be pre-SN.

--Expect selected songs to be online-only.

Agree'd. I want a unlock system similiar to DDR Extreme(JPN) that allows players to unlock content the quick but challenging way, or the "play a certain amount of songs" alternative for those not skilled enough to accomplish certain tasks.

The thing I hate the most is the mission where you have to tap the arrows 200+ times without hitting any actual arrows on the screen. Bullshit things like that irritated the hell out of me, that as well as playing through tons of light mode and beginner mode songs 50 times. Then there were certain goals you had to unlock tips for, such as getting a C on the song on a certain difficulty or hitting an invisible arrow.

Does a CS and AC release at the same time say anything about the future of DDR in US/Japan? - You don't see kanomi releasing beatmania gold AC and CS at the same time?

1. Japanese and American markets are two completely different. We Yanks prefer something "realistic," per say, grand theft auto and FPS. The Japanese, meanwhile, prefer RPGs's and simulators -- generally speaking.

2. Since the simultaneous CS & AC release is only known to be done here in North America, I already showed my cynicism and doubts on my 1st post in this thread. It is because I based them from the previous US PS2 CS releases, which are all arcade-unfaithful (except for EX2, which is a pure CS game).
