For everyone flipping out about the 360 updates, Peter Moore has since said that his remarks were merely meant to placate morons that complained that nothing good was coming out and to emphasize that they're looking towards the future, not that backwards compatibility is being shelved. If you want the old Ultramixes to be playable on your 360, then follow the suggestion here and e-mail the team that works on this stuff yourself. Let them know what you want. backcomp@microsoft.com

The only way you can (legally) get whatever is needed is to go through Microsoft, and you can bet MS isn't particularly keen on approving adaptors that would let you use controllers from other systems. Right now, to my understanding, they've got the peripheral market locked down, and I'm not sure if that's going to change. May mean new pads for everyone.

Can we say Love Shine, .59 and CSFIL(SM) to name a few. I don't mean to flame you Reenee, but read up some before making blanket statements like that.

Total Tokens: 915.14 Donate Tokens | This is really exciting news. Ok, so I've known about it for a few months, but I get more excited everytime I see a thread on this. I guess I'm just curious what is in store for us on a "next-gen" DDR. The nonstop-megamix mode is intriguing, and I hope that it's actually done in the style of the megamixes we know and love. If the songs are just faded into each other Konami will have hell to pay, but if it's actually mixed and all then they'll be receiving a lifetime supply of cookies in the mail from me.
Plus, this could mean we see backwards compatibility for the Ultramix series. Even if it's not confirmed, and it doesn't require it, a succesful DDR on the 360 could push Microsoft to make BC for UM a priority. It seems that so far they've stuck to top sellers and games that are simple to make compatible, so if we see a hit with Universe AND UM4 we might just get what we're wanting.
Of course, I do wonder about the pads. We all know how well current wireless pads hold up, and although the 360's wireless controllers seem to have a much better response than previous examples of the technology, I'm still worried about the almost obligatory wireless pads. I hope Konami doesn't try and stick with the trend of wireless just for the heck of it. But if they truly can work out a wireless pad that works that's just more cookies for 'em.

And people keep whoring out B4U (B4 ZA BEAT MIX). Bastards.
