Default DDR Using controller and pad same time...

I was wondering if anyone of you have ever tried playing DDR using the Dance Pad along with the PS2 controller at the same time.

I, like an idiot attempted this, punching the buttons on the PS2 controller while stepping on the arrows on the Dance Pad at the same time. Didn't work out so well...aparently, I was way off on the side of the controller so "2nd Player" failed. Here I was, thinking that both sides would 'spit' the arrows from bottom to top at the same time...buuuut I guess not huh?

I've done it and I don't find it peticularly challenging, except in songs with a lot of crossovers. My brain hates processing crossovers

I've also tried doing this, and it isn't really that hard once you get the hang of it, but it is kind of hard for my brain to process the 1P Right / 2P Left jumps (yeah, I did it playing Double). It's not so bad on the lower difficulties, but on things with a lot of jumps and things like MAX 300, it just gets pretty crazy.

On that note, I've tried a ton of different games with my CFs, the best one being Soul Calibur 2...having two people play that games on pads is absolutely hilarious, especially if you try to do some of the more advanced moves. (I don't have 3 yet, lol.)

I tried doing this on doubles when my second pad broke. It gets really complicated with songs that have lots of pad crossovers, especially at high/low BPMs, and if you fall over or move a lot you can rip the controller out of the PS2 or pull the PS2 from where it was before, which sucks when its on top of something.

For doubles, you could just use two duel shocks, one hand on one, one the other, I dont find it too difficult. The method describe would just work for itself, it wouldent help as much as two foot pads or two hand pads, its just a wierd mix.

If your playing verses, there is a purpose, but the reason why would it be fun comes to mind......

I seem to recall trying it once, and it was boring.

yeah my school had a tourney once, half the people just out right failed because they couldn't play on Heavy. A Japanese foreign exchange student won of all the clich'e things to happen.

Its a whole lot easier to play doubles on 2 pads or 2 dual shocks than 1 of each. Jumps across both pads blow my mind

Doesn't ITG have an option to play doubles on one controller. Only problem is that the 1st player would be assigned to the direction pad, so any just in oposite directions or hands won't work to well,

Yea I have done that with SCII also but two of my friends really tried and actually got good. One was able to pull of Ivys super long throws on the pad
