Some info on 2ch about the pads.

-The surface seems to look like rubber, and it is more difficult to slip on the pads then previous cabinets.

-The pads appear to be sensitive. Even if you tip-toe on the pad, it still responds.

EDIT:

Haha, Konami wtf? Max 300 doubles Heavy apparently is a 12.

Hopefully some of the new ratings are Mugen-tastic and will be fixed for full release.

I hope that here in the Philippines that when DDRX is released, all of the amusement centers right here should have a bunch piece of this machine. It's really a big crap here in the Philippines because of the "SuperOLD" DDR machines that I still see such as the 2nd Mix in the mall near to my home and also until DDR Extereme (but I haven't played this yet...)

Oooh, nice ass! Oh wait....DDR X, right? Oh yaaa~!

The interface looks nice, lol Happy Sky inspired? xD I noticed the input buttons on the machine are UP, DOWN, CENTER, LEFT, and RIGHT....I wonder what UP and DOWN would be used for; maybe to aid n00bs on the Select Options screen for maybe if they accidentally chose a wrong option, they could simply press UP to go back up instead of the traditional LEFT+RIGHT+CENTER to correct a mistake.

Up and Down are most likely for newbies who don't understand stepping onthe up and down arrows for changing difficulties albeit.

The functions have been posted on Z-i-V already. IIRC, up and down are used to select the song, and left and right are used to switch sort modes. I don't remember anything about the select options screen.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more mention of "Screen Filter;" a lot of people seem to have problems reading Solo/Note arrows against the bright backgrounds and I'd like to see how this works. Sounds like a great idea though.

I'm not counting on that blue background to be static blue. It can be like SN/SN2 with changing gradients of colors.

Judging by that picture, one would assume that the CS version won't have all that space on the sides of the banner and foot ratings. Unless they add a widescreen option, which I am totally set up for...

Well it's only a location test so maybe they haven't completely finished widescreen yet, maybe they repositioned stuff but haven't resized anything.

So, those vertical bars are only lights? Ok, those are definitly gonna be the first things to break at my arcade.

If they're going to add anything to a DDR cabinet, why not add some fans? I'd much rather have those bars blowing air on me than shinning blue LEDs at my eyes while I play DDR.

Looks like we have two new characters in DDR X , Bonnie and Zero. æ–°ã‚*ャラ情å*±

At least it's not Queen from DDR Universe....or IS IT?

As for Zero...someone on the Konami DDR team watches too much Deathnote.

::EDIT::

He kinda looks like the character in the Unreal video...
