This all depends on the quality of the machine you play on. (as mentioned above)

One thing to make the codes easier, when the machine is in attract mode, insert a credit, then input the code. When a credit is inserted, it stays on the "press start" screen a bit longer than while it's in attract mode.

Someone has probably mentioned it before or maybe not, but Hollywood Park's DDR X machine has an active ONLINE e-AMUSE connection. Oddly enough the machine has the 7/23/09 update. They're in the middle of obtaining the e-AMUSE cards, so they'll start selling them later this month.

But does it work? June.H has posted about a machine that has e-amuse online but gives a "Network Busy" error message when you swipe your e-amuse card.

Read a few posts up, I've used two e-amuse cards and they both came up with "network busy" errors and started the game. I've tried one three different occasions on different days at different times. I'm starting to think they don't have something set up correctly, maybe with Konami? But anyway, HWP selling e-amuse cards is pointless if their network continually returns a "Network Busy" error when swiping.

What sucks is that you can't input unlock codes. Much rather stick with the Gameworks machine until the codes work...if the boss songs get unlocked, it's almost kind of useless to care about e-amuse at that point.

June, is there any way you could inquire them about that problem, seeing as to how you've got an amazing set of credentials in the community and amongst arcade operation.

Owners and managers don't give a crap if you even if I could build a machine from ground up, unless I officially worked for konami, they won't listen.

So you ended up being right.
That machine went downhill.... FAST
The left side, right arrow, goes off randomly. As you step throughout the song it will just flash on and off, constantly making you miss steps. The right side just seems to be getting worse, gettings greats, boos, misses or whatever they are in x on easy songs. Really disappointed.

That itg2 cab with the ddr pads in kaysville is really nice, id recommend you go play on it.

well either way, I still live to far for kaysville, I usually just hit up boondocks or sandy nickelcade for my dance game fix. I still haven't gotten the time to go up to sandy to go check the classic skating and their ddr X machine, I think i'll go check it out this thursday. since it's only a dollar to go in. maybe you should take the trip and meet down there.

We just got our first X cab in Las Vegas at Gemini Arcade. It's a Japanese cabinet, and it's fully unlocked. Great pads, great timing.

It's the same as the eBay one, an upgrade. Kinda sad that the owner got ripped off tbh.
