It's been the fact that he's DONE such a majority of DDR KOs that I'm sick of him. I'm not saying he's a bad artist, I'm saying that there needs more variety.

But remember, NAOKI, BeForU, and Riyu Kosaka, the three most involved in-house acts throughout the history of AC DDR, have been forced out of the series. Word has it that NAOKI's being re-assigned into a pop'n-exclusive, as we already knew that BeForU, and by extension, Riyu Kosaka, have been sold out to AVEX.

Heck, since these three acts have the three most involved acts in AC DDR history, it is insulting for the old time fans NOT to see NAOKI, BeForU, and Riyu contribute to AC DDR.

And if you're gonna argue how selfish of me to talk about these three, all I have to say is: IIDX/pop'n have a near-monopoly on the Bemani artist roster. I guarantee you this: NAOKI has MORE AC GFdm Originals than any given AC GFdm primary. NAOKI has MORE AC pop'n originals than any AC pop'n primary that has an AC DDR original. NAOKI has more AC IIDX Originals than any given AC IIDX primary.

To put it bluntly, Kanako Hoshino has ZERO AC DDR Originals. Asaki has ZERO AC DDR Originals. good-cool has ZERO AC DDR Originals. Mutsuhiko Izumi has ZERO AC DDR Originals. Miyuki Kunitake has ZERO AC DDR Originals. Seiya Murai has ZERO AC DDR Originals. naya~n has ZERO AC DDR Originals. TaQ has ZERO AC DDR Originals.

As for the ones who are recent guest artists, Shoichiro Hirata left Konami, while he ONLY has ONE AC DDR Original. Tatsh has ONLY ONE AC DDR Original, as his one of his last acts in Konami. Osamu Migitera has ONLY TWO AC DDR Originals, and that was AFTER BeForU got sold out to AVEX!

Need I name the remainder of the Bemani artist roster to prove my point?

TAG? Wow... DDR finally got an AC GFdm primary for the first time ever!

Osamu's gonna stay a pop'n-exclusive, apparently, given how he has pop'n as his AC primary, while we can say likewise about dj. TAKA.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! You're dissing NAOKI!? Give the man the respect that he is overdue with! Need I remind each and every single one of you that he's the first and ONLY in-house artist most associated with DDR since the franchise's inception? You have NO IDEA what you're talking about. Everyone on Konami's sound team works across the board as needed. Konami is just outsourcing work alot more now to try and diversify the songlists some. Alot of the people working on the DDR franchise over the past year or so are outsourced artists working under the supervision of people all over Konami's sound team. And there is no way that NAOKI is going pop'n "exclusive" as he's a lead sound advisor for the DDR franchise and handles the sound direction in IIDX CS games. That's like saying that DJ YOSHITAKA is going "pop'n exclusive" because of High School Love and his new track on pop'n 14 CS.

Seriously, you need to shut up about this whole artist thing because everything you just posted is complete and total tripe. I know many people that work with Konami's sound team and I'm outright calling bullshit on you based on who and what I know.

Along with that, TAKA doesn't sound direct the IIDX franchise anymore. L.E.D. has done it for the past several AC games. The major name artists that have been with the whole bemani series for long and have had major roles are all basically advisors across the board now. They work a little but on everything. So yeah. STFU thanks. And I'm not meaning to be a dick here, but seriously, don't believe everything you read on random fansites if that was where you got your info, very few people have direct ties with the artists to the point where they can freely talk about their jobs without NDAs.

Oh and TaQ never actually worked for Konami, he was always lisenced. On top of that, he completely stopped doing tracks for bemani games years ago because he felt he needed to move on musically. So yah.

I hope you aren't saying Naoki needs more variety.... For one person, he produces a DAMN wide range of music. So much so that he uses psedonymns for some music, like RevenG.

Uh... that's pretty much a "no shit." Even if he has such a "WIDE" range of music, you can still pretty much tell what music is done by him and what isn't. Most of his songs use the same guitar sounds, the same bass sounds, the same "hyper eurobeat" synths that he has.

Even though he has a shitton of different equipment, he sure has his favourites that he abuses.

No one's arguing NAOKI isn't one of the defining artists of DDR. Saying he's been 'outsted' is insulting to him and also complete bullshit. He's still the Sound Director; hell, he's credited as the BEMANI SOUND DIRECTOR, across the board. He's just as heavily involved in DDR and BEMANI as always. Also, I wasn't aware this location test was the final song list. He works hard for the series, and for one who seems to value respecting the old artists so much, saying he has been 'forced out' in DDR belies the work he does behind the scenes and is honestly disrespectful to him.

All it really is, is a graphical replacement of the arrow panels. There's no word of any performance improvements.

So, what are those three vertical poles on the sides of the machine for? On the first page it says they're "light bars". Since I am unfamiliar with Beatmania AC cabinets, could someone please elaborate on what these do?
