From the arcade op's standpoint I'd want the machine to do well and bring in as much business as possible. Given Betson and Konami's previous track record regarding eAmuse, I'd say that at this point it'd be more advantageous to enter a Max unlock code than to hope that eAmuse will exist.
We heard them talking about "one location test" which ended up as BZN Naperville, and then they gave us "oh we're looking at multiple secondary test locations" and of course nothing happened. Right? Right.

| Maybe I'm not understanding this correctly, there were several location tests in the U.S., BZN got the upgraded DDR X test, other locations got anything ranging from upgrades to the Japanese dedicabs (with the crappy older build). | |

The X-Specials aren't unlocked for regular play even in Japan, as far as I know, but with eAMUSE the conditions for them are gradually being loosened so it's easier to get them for ENCORE/EXTRA STAGE.

Aside from that, nothing. I highly doubt we'll see eAmuse for X, if ever.

Last I went several months ago, it was back to SN2 and e-Amuse was still not working.
And at this point we probably won't, especially not with DDR X2 on the horizon.
