DDR X edit data

Sups. Anyway are the edit data to the thumb drive the same files as the old edits? Or is there a new tag so the arcade cab can read it? I managed to dump my old files onto a ps3 and transferred to a thumb drive. I don't have DDR X (JP). So I don't know if there is a separate tag vs. I just got a non-okay thumb drive. Yeah I tried it at my local arcade, didn't work.

So anyone got a DDR X JP to see if the files are different or the same? If it's an extra tag or something else, then may I retrieve that data? Also if it's in a pathway that needs to be there.

PS. Got a LEXAR LD firefly 2GB (it was cheap :/ ). My data files are under .PSV with random string of alpha numeric name. (NOTE: Not part of the list of usable thumb drives from the website. Data is from the old games via export files to be usable at the EX cabs.)

No. DDR X AC JP will only take edits saved directly to a thumb drive from the JP CS version. Backups from a PS3 are just that, backups.

DDR X JP (correct me if I'm wrong) will search your memory card for all DDR ps2 (not sure about ps1) ddr games and convert all the edit from them into a file onto the USB stick, not sure how to do it tho, its kinda the first ddr game to be entirely in japanese so i havent found the option yet >.<

actually, festival was entirely in japanese and most of the games since then have been mostly in japanese so you're pretty wrong

also no; it will not search your entire memory card for edits and convert them to USB. the "export to USB" feature just exports the currently selected databank in DDR X. i believe you can import edits from other games into that databank and then export it if you want edits for something not on X
