Also, an 8 would have been perfectly acceptable for Raspberry Heart, or even a high 7. The fact that they actually made a harder chart but made it something extremely hard to unlock is even worse.

Flow Reggae

If you're looking for JUST 9S not harder, then you're being too picky. Including the CS songs, there were 56 new heavy/oni charts on SN2, making 14.5% of the new songs 9s. If you include songs that SHOULD be 9s as 9 (Fly Away -mix del matador-, Uranus Oni, Star Gate Heaven Future Love Mix, and CaptivAte are what I personally think should be 9s), that's 21% of the new songs being 9 footers.

You may not think that's a lot, but look at Extreme. 84 new heavy/oni charts, and even counting the two I think should be 9s and aren't (Least 100, Daikenkai oni)
It's 22%, practically the same.

The problem itself lies primarily in two things:

1) There wasn't as much new content in SN2 as there was in Extreme; and

2) Several of the 9s in SN2 aren't enjoyable to play (Unreal and Arrabbiata being the worst offenders).


Also, Raspberry Heart didn't *NEED* a 8 footer chart. An easy 6 or 7 is what the song sounds like it should have.

I guess I am the only person who likes Unreals stepchart. It is new and unique, not just another stream heavy or technical (and usually offbeat) 9

DDR Heavy has 20 fewer steps and it is definitely a 9

Yeah, Mix del Matador is definetely a 9, but Star Gate Heaven(Future Love Mix) is just a quite hard 8 IMO, as for Flow, it's all a question of whether you know the song or not, for the speed changes are the biggest difficulties in there. As for SN2 9s, well Arrabbiata(spelling?) is a real hard 9, but in Double it should be a 10, it's way too hard! And then Venus which is one of the most ridiculous 9 footer ever, should almost be a 7... As for Uranus, it should've been a 9, nothing more... Hey, is it just me, or the new Tatsh song were really badly rated?

I loved the Exteme series to death and hope DDR X won't turn out like Supernova series.

When I started playing both series at first (Extreme 2 then later Supernova 1-2), I loved the Extreme series but didn't think much of Supernova.

In Extreme, the Standard songs are harder than the Expert songs of Supernova. (Why did they take off old diffuculty names like Heavy? T_T)

Also, Extreme had many believed songs like A, Paranoia Survivor, Sakura, Afronova (), and many others like Paranoia Eternal. Supernova only has Hades which isn't really good in my tastes when it comes to music. I also don't like the fact that KDEA put like f'n more English license songs than Japanese ones. T_T
