Actually, the UK version of the games are supposed to be released around the beginning of 2010, so perhaps there was some jumbling of information?

Personally, I'm never hyped when popular American songs wind up in DDR... Ice Ice and Let's Get it Started. Songs that people who don't like DDR choose cause they've heard them before... then cry that the game's rigged when they fail it. >_>
Nah, I do know a couple people who play American songs and actually have fun... for some reason, pop songs make me think of evil preps. :P I was rather insulted when some dude said "I hate the Japanese songs on DDR... they should put more American ones on there." Course, that was right after I said the opposite so maybe I was asking for it. :P
I'm having a hard time explaining how they relate. ^^; Smooch is popular and overrated, but... not in an uncool way, I guess. Imo.
Eh, I'm not gonna whine a whole lot over the American songs so long as the rest of the game makes up for it...
Going back a bit, I never took into consideration the fact that Dice Master Mode will prolly get too luck-oriented. The artwork distracted me. D:
Another thing I'll wait before complaining about, but it sounds less fun all of a sudden. Hmm.

There are some things that are definitely the DDR classics or things that are pretty fun to play... but they don't keep me entertained long.
I think X had some great songs in it. "Put Em Up" was a great track to throw in, and it is definitely one of my favorite songs to play in X. It's a great track to listen to outside of the game, too.
It's nice to see some variety in the music. DDR doesn't get stuff like "Put Em Up", or stuff like "Space Dance" by Tenaglia very often, it seems.
I would love to see a lot more stuff from some artists like Tenaglia, John B, Kaiser Souzai, Wighnomy Bros., Dino Lenny, etc.
I don't believe I am alone in this sort of wishing for DDR. I know a few people who would definitely be hitting the arcades more if there were more songs appealing to the stuff they are listening to on a semi-regular basis.
For what it's worth, I think DDR is heading a good direction with licenses, at least for the CS software I have played. X had a great selection of music, and I look forward to seeing another songlist that so far seems to be at least as good and interesting. I can't wait to see what we get with this new game. | |

| I actually agree completely. This is probably the first US license list I've been excited about in a while. X had a few really great gems among a sea of boring generic techno-pop, SN2's list was hit-and miss, as was SN's (Although SN did have a lot of good songs along with some really bad ones).
Kudos to whoever selected this license list, because it really seems solid to me right now. I also like the fact that they are being really liberal with PVs now. Now we just have to worry about steps (please not the HP2 team....please not the HP2 team...).

SN2 has had the best liscences so far, IMO, and thats because they were all remixed fairly well, and they put songs in there that you wouldnt ever expect (My Favorite things, Two Months Off). I miss them picking popular liscence music from all over, not just from america.
