Actually, no it doesn't. Hottest Party 2 was aimed at more casual players, while X was aimed at...Judging by the license and KO selection, I have no idea, but probably not a teenage girl.

To be fair, I haven't played a rhythm game on PS3 but I have tried it on PS2 to HDTV and, even if the music and arrows are synced, there is still the delay of hitting the arrow to it registering. This only gets more complicated if you try a PS2 to USB or a wireless pad, the latter being crap for anyone that plays above light.
Just give me a DDR the final. Charge a 100 bucks, slap on as many old licenses and KOs that will fit, screw the arenas and dancers and just slap some backgrounds on, and put it on a PS2 disc. Then you can take the series wherever you like and I won't care, I just won't have to swap old mixes as much. |
Like I said~ They made many mistakes in the past couple of years~ I have not played the Extreme AC~ So I don't know how good the Songlist is (( But I'm more than sure that it must be something really good )) But I have played SN2 AC... All I have to say it's better than what we have now, X AC...
And I also haven't played a rhythm game on the PS3 myself... Which is why I'm interested in what DDR has to offer.... If they stop slapping on useless licenses from America ( the current ones anyway that are slow and barely has a beat ) then maybe... JUST maybe this one is better than what they have been giving us... I do agree with you though on some points!
I just don't think ending it is the right thing. :] They have to keep trying. Maybe have some better KO's... And bring back some of the stuff that hasn't come to America yet... I'd like to see that.

I don't think of you any less just because you support the idea, but I do believe there are very very very few people who would think the same thing.

I really don't think it's fair to call these licenses 'useless'. It's not like Konami just threw darts at a bunch of sticky notes or anything, they have the licenses to get non-fans to buy the new versions, because they know that current fans are more likely do buy them regardless. And not necessarily fans who post on message boards either.

Well the fact that they use to get their music from Dancemania ((loved the songs on their CD's))... Right now... I have no idea where their getting their stuff from. It's just my personal taste. From the most current, the American licenses in my eyes were not.. Good! Some were just too slow, others, just songs I didn't like ((Heh..once again, MY personal taste)). I'd really like to see things like Smile.dk again. ]: Like they had on the JP X.. Instead of songs like, "Open" or "Here we go". Both songs I've never heard of until I bought X.

It was basically just a collection of all the best DDR songs from past games with some new songs. I don't want to keep playing paranoia, it is old. New songs are what keep the games fresh. If you loved extreme so much just go keep playing it. The good ole days of DDR died along with Dancemania. Get over it.

Seriously, and on top of its crappy audio quality and numerous aesthetic problems it really hasn't been my favorite game to play.
