BTW, you can actually find good quality DX pads on eBay, believe it or not. However, you should buy at least one pad from a more reliable source to ensure that you get the hard foam.

It's quite responsive, but I would DEFINATELY save up for a metal platform like a CF or Afterburner.

i really want to make a doubles pad, though. could be tough getting the dimensions just right.

I never have those Ignition (and espeicaly 3.0) pads, but when reading it, I am so thank god that I didn't get one of those.. XP But I did suffer from a broken down arrow of my $4 pad...

I got the Ignition last year in about October, and it began sucking in November, and it was too unusable but still slightly functional by December. My Naki foam pad.... i've had it since about 2001 or 2002, and it just became difficult to use. It sticks no matter what I do, but it still works better than my Ignition. I've had my GameStop pad for about a year and a half, and a problem with the down arrow has come up, making it a bit difficult to play with, but still functional. I've also played on a Cobalt Flux, and it felt WONDERFUL. I don't think it was perfect, but everyone could tell that it was the best pad ever.
Is there a multiplatform (mostly PS2 and XBox) foam pad that's good enough to not stick and to last very long, but at the same time is fairly cheap? Preferably around $80 so i could buy two. I can't use metal pads or mods though.

I'm thinking of getting a konami soft pad, and taking carpenter staples and attaching the pad with the foam... we will see how that works out. =/

The Ignition is a copy of that pad, so any similar pad is a DX-style pad.

I wonder why they stopped making them.
